Reese Witherspoon Cancels Appearances as Arrest Video Hits the Web
It's not all business as usual for Reese Witherspoon following her arrest.
While the 37-year-old actress put on her game face to attend Sunday's premiere of "Mud" and issued a candid apology for her "embarrassing" behavior during her disorderly conduct bust, she's not ready to be in the hot seat just yet. She has canceled appearances on "Good Morning America" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," as well as at the TV junket for "Mud."
In addition to skipping a press event on Monday for her latest film, Witherspoon pulled out of a "GMA" interview, which was to air on Wednesday. She also scrapped a sit-down with Fallon on Tuesday. No word on whether the appearances will be rescheduled.

This decision comes as new arrest footage of Witherspoon hits the Internet. The local Fox affiliate in Atlanta -- where the Oscar winner was taken into custody for allegedly becoming belligerent while her husband, CAA talent agent Jim Toth, was being arrested for a DUI on Friday morning -- has footage of the mom of three in handcuffs.
But Witherspoon certainly has her supporters, one of whom is her "Mud" co-star and friend Matthew McConaughey. No stranger to a very public arrest -- bongos anyone? -- he thinks she's handling it well.
"I'm happy to see that she seems the kind of woman who did what she did: Come out and be forthright about it. Look it in the eye and be forthright," McConaughey told "Access Hollywood" on Monday.

And while the actress did some damage control with her public apology -- she noted she was "disrespectful to the officer" and "deeply embarrassed about the things I said" -- her husband is doing so as well. A source close to Toth -- who blew a .139 on his sobriety test, well above Georgia's legal limit of .08 -- told People magazine he "feels awful that he involved Reese in the situation. He made a bad decision and it certainly made things worse that he dragged her into it."
A source close to Toth also told the magazine that he could soon check himself into a treatment facility, noting, "No one would be surprised if Jim goes to rehab."
