Teresa, Joe, Joe, and Melissa all together on Monday night. (Dave Kotinsky/WireImage)Sure, it’s cold in New Jersey this time of year, but has hell literally frozen over?
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s” feuding families, the Gorgas and the Giudices, put aside their differences on Monday night – at least, for a few hours – at the launch party of Teresa Giudice’s Milania Hair Care (named after one of her daughters).
Although Teresa has been warring with her brother, Joe, and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, for the past two seasons of the Bravo series, she actually “ran over” to the couple as soon as they arrived at the Stone House in Warren, NJ, and “kisses were exchanged,” according to The Record newspaper. Teresa then even called over her husband, Joe, who has also fought bitterly with the Gorgas, for another round of hugs and kisses before posing happily for photos together.
“It seemed like they had reconciled and put the past behind them,” another eyewitness at the event told In Touch. “There was a lot of laughing and joking around between the families.”
Of course, that’s a far cry from the way the two sides left things last October during the Season 4 reunion specials. The Gorgas and the Giudices screamed at each other over everything, including the allegation that Teresa had planned to “embarrass” Melissa at the Posche fashion show by inviting a man who claims the mother-of-three had once worked as a stripper at his nightclub.
Things did not get much better in January when Melissa attended the 12th birthday party for her niece, Gia, and ended up getting “[verbally] attacked by Teresa and her friends,” according to In Touch. Teresa’s good pal Kim D., who also ganged up against Melissa at the Posche fashion show, “was drunk and was the instigator, stirring the pot — as always — over petty stuff.”
But is this newfound reconciliation just another plot twist for “Real Housewives”? The Record noted that Bravo cameras were capturing every love-fest moment, and when a reporter asked Joe Giudice about filming the upcoming fifth season, he waffled. "It's going well. We're trying to stay positive. There's a little negative, but ..." Next, after glancing around “to make sure the coast was clear,” according to the paper, he added, “If it's too nice, it doesn't make it into the show."
There’s no word on when “RHoNJ” will return just yet. Bravo hasn’t even announced whether or not the show has been renewed for a fifth season, despite the fact that all the cast members have been spotted filming.
What do you think? Will Teresa and Melissa ever really be close?
