Is Kirstie Alley ‘Livid’ at Leah Remini for Leaving Scientology?

Leah Remini isn't getting support from everyone in her life for deciding to leave the Church of Scientology.

Kirstie Alley - who has never been shy to speak her mind (especially when it comes to defending Scientology) - posted a series of cryptic tweets last week, seemingly taking aim at her former friend.

"When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of the person I thought was my friend... Then I say f--k em..:) #RISE" Alley tweeted on Wednesday.

Remini, 43, confirmed last Thursday she was parting ways with her former religion.

Alley didn't stop there:

The friend Alley tweeted is longtime Scientologist Melinda Brownstone. According to former Village Voice editor-in-chief Tony Ortega — a longtime journalist critic of Scientology, who initially broke the news about Remini's exit on July 5 — claims "a meeting was called for Alley and other celebrities to get a briefing from church executives about what was going on and what they planned to do about it." Ortega also reports Alley is "livid" at Remini, and that Remini has been designated the condition of "Enemy" by the church.

However, on Monday, Alley posted another puzzling tweet, possibly alluding to these reports.

Remini quit Scientology reportedly after facing years of "interrogations" and "thought modification" for having questioned leader David Miscavige's rule. The "King of Queens" actress released the following statement last week confirming her departure:

"I wish to share my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming positive response I have received from the media, my colleagues, and from fans around the world. I am truly grateful and thankful for all your support."

Who isn't a little curious right now to hear what high-profile celebrity Scientologists Tom Cruise and John Travolta have to say about the Remini situation? If only they used Twitter as prolifically as Alley does!
