Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald (Getty Images)While many Hollywood couples spark in the work environment, rarely do they linger.
For “Twilight” alum Nikki Reed, however, performing with husband Paul McDonald is a bonus.
“As an actor married to a musician, so much can take you away from it all,” Reed told omg! at Thursday’s opening of Canadian clothing brand Joe Fresh, held at a West Hollywood pop-up of retailer JCPenney.
“Being together, especially performing, makes us really present with each other," she continued. "It’s kind of … the ultimate perk.”

Reed and McDonald rang in the shopping event with stars like Stacy Keibler, who was making her first outing since toasting boyfriend George Clooney’s Oscar glory for producing “Argo.”

Reed is gearing up for the opening weekend of South by Southwest (SXSW), the film portion of the Texan arts celebration where she’ll unveil “Snap,” a thriller she produced.
The Joe Fresh fete featured custom fittings in the stylish threads, simple but bold separates with accessories like sandals, and a DJ set from Rumer Willis.
Under the moniker “DJ Ruby,” Willis was all business strutting into the event, skipping the red carpet, and heading straight to the turntables with only a female handler at her side. Her set went over an hour, sending shoppers out into the rainy Los Angeles night.
