Nicholas Hoult ‘Thrilled’ Over Ex-Girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar Win

This really might be one of the most amicable splits in young Hollywood history.

“X-Men: First Class” co-stars Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence broke up in January after two years together, but there appears to be no bad blood between the exes.

While promoting his latest film, “Jack the Giant Slayer,” Hoult seemed elated that Lawrence won the Oscar for Best Actress this past Sunday, saying he thought “Silver Linings Playbook” was “great.”

"I'm very, very happy for her," the 23-year-old actor told E!. “I’m thrilled!”

This isn’t the first time Hoult has spoken out positively about his ex-girlfriend. Shortly after Oscar nominations first came out, the “Warm Bodies” actor revealed to E! that he was "very proud" of Lawrence and said he would be rooting for her on the big day.

Although there was no dramatic breakup between Lawrence, 22, and Hoult, the actor admitted he “made mistakes” in a recent relationship.

When asked in an interview for Elle’s March issue for one thing all of his exes would say about him, he replied: “That’s a tough one – and I probably don’t want to know the answer. [Laughs] I hope they’d say my heart was in the right place and I meant well. I don’t know. That, and make fewer badges.”
