Lindsay Lohan Checks Into Betty Ford Center for Rehab, Re-Hires Lawyer Shawn Holley

Who else is having déjà vu?

Pulling a page from her 2010 rehab playbook, Lindsay Lohan has checked into the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, omg! has confirmed. The 26-year-old has also fired her attorney Mark Heller and is now represented again by Shawn Holley. Lohan, 26, fired Holley back in January.

Sources familiar with the situation tell omg! that Lohan panicked on Thursday afternoon when she realized she would go to jail after leaving Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, California. The actress walked in and walked right back out of the treatment center because "she didn't feel safe," an insider tells us.

In a risky, but smart, move, Lohan then begged Holley to take her back. Without Holley, the Betty Ford deal "would never have happened," another source tells omg!. In 2010, Lohan got into an altercation with a staff member at the same Betty Ford Center, where police were called and civil lawsuits were filed.

Sources tell omg! that a few weeks ago the "Mean Girls" actress "wouldn't even consider Betty Ford as an option" for a place to complete her 90-day court ordered rehab stint, so it's clear now just how desperate Lohan was on Thursday.

In case you are just catching up, all the drama with Lohan first started yesterday morning.

Heller (Lohan's attorney at the time) told L.A. Superior Court Judge James Dabney that his client was currently checked into rehab at Morningside, and that therapy was "under immediate commencement." However, Lohan was not there (she was photographed shopping at Fry's Electronics), and as we know, quickly left after arriving. The fact that Lohan was at Morningside was problem enough to begin with, as the prosecution never signed off on that rehab location.

Deputy Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White has given tentative approval for Lohan to seek treatment at Betty Ford.

So, do you think Lohan will actually stay at Betty Ford for 90-days? Sound off in the comments.
