Lea Michele: ‘Cory Will Forever Be in My Heart’

Lea Michele has returned to Twitter following the tragic passing of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith.

It's been a little over two weeks since the "Glee" actor was found dead at the age of 31 in his hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia. Monteith — who was open about his struggles with substance abuse — passed away after a mixed drug toxicity involving heroin and alcohol.

Cory's on and off screen love has been grieving in private thus far. However, on Monday, Lea addressed her fans:

Last week, Lea, Ryan Murphy, and the "Glee" cast and crew gathered for an "emotional" celebration to remember their fallen friend.

"We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time," Twentieth Century Fox wrote in a statement.

Production on Season 5 of the hit show will resume in August at Lea's request.

"Ultimately, we made no decisions without consulting Lea," co-creator Ryan Murphy explained. She was very adamant that she thought it was best for the cast and crew to get back together sooner [rather] than later … Cory was so beloved that she felt people really needed to be together in this time. So we sort of followed her lead."

Lea isn't the only "Glee" cast member who is easing back into everyday life. Over the weekend Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, and Jenna Ushkowitz stepped out in Hollywood to support friends Adam Shankman and Nigel Lythgoe for the Dizzy Feet Foundation's Celebration Of Dance at The Music Center.
