Lady Gaga Drops F-Bombs Galore Under Oath in Legal Battle Against Ex-Assistant

Lady Gaga is dealing with some major human resources issues.

While being deposed in a legal battle brought on by her former personal assistant, the "Born This Way" singer – whom we all know isn't shy when it comes to expressing herself – had a lot to say ... and a colorful way in which to say it.

The 26-year-old is being sued by Jennifer O’Neill, who was her assistant during two stints between 2009 and 2011 and claims she is owed compensation for 7,168 hours of overtime … in the amount of $393,000, plus damages. The New York Post obtained a copy of Gaga's deposition for the case, which took place over six hours in a Manhattan law office on August 6, and reports that things got nasty.

Gaga embraced the F-bomb many times while under oath, according to the newspaper. In addition to calling O’Neill a “f--king hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn’t earn,” she also cursed while she admonished the woman for looking at her during her testimony. “Are you going to stare at me like a witch this whole time — honestly?” Gaga asked. “Because this is going to be a long f--king day that you brought me here.”

Her saltly language was also directed at O’Neill’s lawyers. Replying to a question, she snapped, “No, no, no. Listen, listen, sir, if you’re going to ask me questions for the next five hours, I am going to tell you exactly what f--king happened, so that the judge can read on this transcript exactly what’s going on.”

During Gaga’s deposition, she painted the plaintiff – who was paid $75,000 a year – as an incompetent assistant. Saying she was hired as “a favor” and “majorly unqualified,” Gaga, who now employs two personal assistants, said O’Neill failed at even the most simple tasks. One of those was laying out the star’s clothing properly while they traveled, which Gaga said was “very stressful” because “I weigh 115 pounds and I was trying to move these huge, big luggages all by myself” while O’Neill “slept until 12:00 [p.m.] most of the time.”

According to the Post, Gaga gave O’Neill a tongue lashing, saying she should be thankful for all the perks she received working for a megastar. “I’m quite wonderful to everybody that works for me, and I am completely aghast to what a disgusting human being that you have become to sue me like this,” Gaga reportedly said. “Because she slept in Egyptian cotton sheets every night, in five-star hotels, on private planes, eating caviar, partying with [photographer] Terry Richardson all night, wearing my clothes, asking YSL [Yves Saint Laurent] to send her free shoes without my permission, using my YSL discount without my permission.”

While Gaga allowed that O’Neill earned her paycheck, she just didn’t think she deserved additional compensation because they never agreed to overtime pay. “She deserves every dollar of her $75,000 that we agreed to, but she does not deserve a penny more,” Gaga said.

If the pop star wins the case – which is still pending – the money will go to her current staffers. “I’m going to give all the money that she wants to my employees that work hard for me now that deserve it. I’m not going to give it to her so she can go to Intermix and buy herself a new tube top.”
