The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William were the first to announce their big news on December 3 – before she hit the requisite 12-week mark – when the princess had to be admitted into King Edward VII Hospital in London for extreme morning sickness. Three days later, she was feeling much better and beamed as she headed home with her husband. Middleton, 30, is reportedly due in the summer, although The Palace has yet to confirm an exact date, since she is so early on in her pregnancy.
As for Simpson, she didn’t get the chance to make a surprise announcement. On November 28, Us Weekly splashed the big news across its cover that the “Fashion Star” mentor was expecting her second baby with fiancé Eric Johnson – just mere months after they welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1. Nearly a month later, on Christmas Day, the 32-year-old officially told the world what we already knew when she posted a photo of Maxwell sitting on the beach in Hawaii with “Big Sis” written in the sand in front of her. Like Middleton, Simpson has also not revealed her due date, but if she was three months along at the time of her announcement, she should be set to give birth at the end of June … only 13 months after she delivered her first baby.
Simpson’s big news was quickly overshadowed by Kardashian’s when her boyfriend Kanye West told the crowd at his December 30 concert in Atlantic City to “make some noise for my baby mama.” Assuming the 32-year-old reality star is also at the three-month mark, like Simpson, that makes her due to give birth practically at the same time … late June!
