John Mayer Joins Katy Perry at Inauguration
Could this summer fling be the real thing?
While Katy Perry performed at the Kids' Inauguration Ball on Saturday in Washington, D.C., she had support in the audience from more than just fans! Her boyfriend John Mayer was right there, looking on adoringly from the crowd.
“From rehearsals to her performance, John went everywhere with her,” a source in the nation’s capital tells omg!. “They actually looked really cute and really happy together.”
Another source tells omg! the notorious ladies man was “beaming” anytime he was around the “Firework” singer.
Mayer, 32, accompanied Perry, 28, on Monday morning to President Barack Obama’s Second Inauguration and they made no qualms about hiding their affection for one another. The couple — who have been dating since July, but only made their first official public appearance together in November — looked giddy while they waited for the ceremony to start. They were laughing and snapping photos of each other on their cell phones and looked “very in love” an onlooker noted.
This isn’t the first PDA-filled weekend the couple has enjoyed. In just the past month alone Mayer and Perry have been to Hawaii and Perry’s hometown of Santa Barbara together.
So, could John Mayer — whose famous exes include Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, and Taylor Swift — actually potentially settle down someday with Perry? It’s something that many (including close pals of Perry’s) are wondering. And for the first time, it’s actually starting to seem like a possibility.
