Jessica Biel Wears a Nose Ring to Met Gala — and She’s Not the Only One!

Jessica Biel looked ready to rock when she hit the red carpet at the punk-themed Met Gala -- and it had a lot to do with her fake nose ring.

The 31-year-old, who is known for being fairly conservative on the red carpet, wore a black Giambattista Valli creation, featuring a web-like pattern throughout, to Monday's star-studded event celebrating "Punk: Chaos to Couture." Unlike, say, Ginnifer Goodwin or Emmy Rossum, Biel barely wore any makeup and had her hair slicked back -- perhaps to draw attention to the highlight of her look: a faux septum piercing.

Mrs. Timberlake's silver nose ring was fairly subtle -- you had to be up close to really see it. Vogue U.K. went as far as to describe it as "discreet."

Biel wasn't the only celebrity to sport a fake piercing at the event, which was like a who's who of Hollywood with guests including from Beyoncé, Katie Holmes, Blake Lively, and Madonna. Model Karen Elson, 34, embraced the look when she hit the red carpet -- and she fully committed to it. Although she made a complete outfit change before hitting an afterparty, she kept the ring on -- and it worked with her leather minidress with embellishments.

And the look wasn't limited to the ladies -- as you can see from Jamie Campbell Bower's mug. "The Twilight Saga" actor, 24, hit the red carpet with his "Mortal Instruments" co-star and real-life girlfriend, Lily Collins. Not only did the Brit have a hoop dangling from his right nostril, but he also had two earrings.
