‘Game of Thrones’ Star Lena Headey: My Divorce Left Me With Less Than $5

Despite starring in one of the biggest shows on television, "Game of Thrones" actress Lena Headey is having money troubles.

In her latest court filings, Headey -- who filed for divorce from husband Peter Loughran in July -- claims she is nearly broke.

"At the present time, I have less than $5 in my bank account and have been using credit cards to pay for living expenses for myself and our son Wylie," Headey states in the 79-page filing obtained by E! News.

The -- actress who plays Cersei Lannister on HBO's hit show -- is asking her estranged husband for her share of their 2011 tax refund to help pay off "a substantial amount of consumer debt to pay for our living expense during marriage."

Sources close to the "Game of Thrones" star tell omg! that there were signs of financial trouble after Headey's "sudden" divorce.

"[Lena] has made a lot of cutbacks, she isn't trying to live outside her means," continues a source close to the actress.

Headey has requested $6,000 advance from the 2011 tax refund and a hearing has been scheduled for April 26.

Luckily, "Game of Thrones" was renewed for a fourth season earlier this week, and Headey also stars in the first installment of the "Mortal Instruments" movie franchise, in theaters August 23 and based on the extremely popular young adult book series.
