The Jonas Brothers were interviewed for the latest issue of Out magazine, and, naturally, Nick, Joe, and Kevin were asked about Miley's controversial VMA performance with Robin Thicke.
So what did they think?
"It wasn't my favorite performance of hers," confessed Joe, 24. "I think that there’s one way of saying you’ve grown up, and there's another way — I think that's her way."
He continued, "Look, people are talking about it, so I think it's working for what she wants."
However, Cyrus's former beau Nick, 21, found her twerking to be rather entertaining.
"She’s smart," he noted. "She’s very smart. We've always known that about her."
Nick and Miley, 20, dated for two years before breaking up in 2007. Prior to the "Wrecking Ball" singer hooking up with Liam Hemsworth in 2009, she and Nick briefly rekindled their relationship, but ultimately decided they were better off as friends.
"She'll always be successful," Nick said. "[The performance] was funny — I was laughing."
If only we could get Liam, 23, to speak on the record about what he really thought.
