Bruce Willis Loves Being a Dad (as His Outfit Tells Us)

With a Hollywood career spanning three decades, Bruce Willis has earned the right to wear whatever the heck he wants to ... right?

The 58-year-old definitely wasn't red-carpet ready when he stepped out with his model wife, Emma Heming, and their 1-year-old daughter, Mabel, on Sunday — and rightfully so. They weren't headed for a movie premiere, they were spending the day at a Los Angeles park. And the famed action film star, who has appeared in "A Good Day to Die Hard" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" this year, appeared ready for daddy duty, working a look that was heavy on stereotypical father fashion clichés.

Without question, the highlight of Willis's adorkable outfit was his Hawaiian shirt, which has become a hallmark of dad style. The white shirt with the words "Caribbean Cowboy" all over it featured an eclectic mix of palm trees … and beach-going cattle hands. He also had on pleated pants (beige linen) and a wide-brimmed hat (straw fedora with a black ribbon).

Making the whole ensemble even more dad-ish? He was sweetly toting Heming's designer purse — and owning it every step of the way.

Willis, who married Heming in 2009, has a lot of experience being a hands-on dad. It's his second time around at fatherhood after raising three grown daughters — Rumer, 24, Scout, 21,and Tallulah, 19 — with ex-wife Demi Moore. And it's the role in his long, successful career that has made him happiest of all.

"My job is just trying to make my little baby laugh," he told the U.K.'s Telegraph in February. "She sticks her hand in my face and pulls me over by the ear. I'm very sentimental with my children and I indulge them to a very high degree.

"One of the things that makes being a father easier for me is that I pretty much stay in shape and I can run and jump and play, and being a father at this point in my life is great," he continued. "I feel like I have the same amount of love I used to have, if not more. I like getting up early and I like looking after Mabel and it’s just very exciting — it makes me very happy.”

Seeing him happy makes us happy ... though we may become worried if the next time we see him he's wearing shorts with knee-high socks and sandals, too.
