Brad Pitt Finally Makes the Cut

Well, hello there, Brad Pitt!

After years of downplaying his hotness with shoulder-length locks, Angelina Jolie's main squeeze has finally hacked off his mane. The 49-year-old debuted a shorter 'do last week carefully concealed by a baseball cap, but on Saturday, he treated us to a full view of his new look while on the set of his upcoming film "Fury."

True, he still has some scruff that we wish he would shave, and it's unfortunate that he didn't have the shorter hair last week when he hit up the Toronto International Film Festival to hype the historical drama "12 Years a Slave," but, hey, at least he's moving in the right direction.

Pitt was prompted to make the cut for his role as an American sergeant commanding a tank named Fury during the final days of World War II. He's also recently been seen driving a military tanker in England as he gets ready to take on the part.

While the "World War Z" star's preparation should delight his fiancée, co-star Shia LaBeouf's girlfriend Mia Goth is probably not as happy with what the film's done to her man. LaBeouf prepared for his turn in the movie by going all Method and dressing as a soldier in the same dirty T-shirt, camouflage pants, and lace-up boots for several days.

Both leading men were part of a group of "Fury" cast members who spent the night at Fort Irwin National Training Center in California to get a first-hand view of the soldiers at work in June.

We're not sure how the movie will play, but he's already earned our salute!
