  • Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez in 2011 (Getty Images)You have to love Demi Lovato for her honesty!

While chatting with MTV News, the "X Factor" judge was asked about fellow Disney darling Selena Gomez, to whom Lovato was once quite close.

"It's so awesome to see her come so far," the 20-year-old said about Gomez. "We've been through a lot together. We've had periods of times when we grew apart, and we just didn't really talk."

  • Little Monsters: Get ready! Your Mother Monster is back and she appears to be as good as new.

Lady Gaga was snapped out and about Wednesday in New York City ― and for the first time since her February hip surgery, she was rocking her trademark sky-high megaheels.

After being forced to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour and being largely confided to a wheelchair for the last few months (we must admit, her 24-carat gold plated chariot was pretty amazing), we're going gaga over the fact that she's back to her usual self.

Even though she was spotted briefly wearing short kitten heels on one occasion since her operation, these black superhigh platforms ― which measure at least six inches high and feature killer spiked heels ―are definitely more symbolic of her usual outrageous signature style. Also, perhaps a sign that Lady G is finally ready to be back where she belongs ― on stage!

Case in point? The sassy songstress made her first post-surgery performance at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York last week, performing "Someone to Watch Over Me" with Jazz trumpeter Brian Newman. We're so happy to see her back on "The Edge of Glory"!

Check out the vid to see just how high the Mother Monster's pumps are, and be sure to catch omg! Insider on TV tonight for all the latest in entertainment news.

  • Prince Harry and Princess Diana (Getty Images)

Then: In July 1986, 22-month-old Prince Harry was an adorable tot already in the spotlight thanks to his beloved mum, the then-25-year-old Princess Diana, and his father, Prince Charles, who happened to be the heir to the British throne. Young Harry, grinning and clothed in a British Army uniform, offered a glimpse at what we could expect from him in the future as he frolicked in the yard at Highgrove House, which continues to be Prince Charles's country home in Gloucestershire, England. No one would have predicted that the charitable Princess Di would be killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

Now: Prince Harry, who's now a captain in the British Army, would have made his late mother proud as he made a well-received visit to the United States this week. The third-in-line to the throne met with military families and wounded veterans, toured an exhibit on land mines – a cause his mother cared about deeply – and surveyed some of the damage from Hurricane Sandy. He charmed American

  • Jaden Smith with dad Will Smith (Han Myung-Gu/WireImage)Parents do all sorts of things to incentivize their children -- bribes with candy, allowance for chores -- but in the case of Jaden Smith, he gets his independence when he's a bigger star than his dad.

Will Smith and his multi-talented son dropped by Ellen DeGeneres's talk show on Wednesday to promote their new sci-fi flick "After Earth," and Will took the chance to clear up some talk about Jaden flying the coop.

Turns out a misinterpreted quote was to blame for starting rumors that 14-year-old Jaden was seeking legal independence from Will and mom Jada Pinkett Smith.

"I think I made a joke in Tokyo," Will told Ellen of their father-son press tour. "My baby boy, he's never leaving me ever. No emancipation for the Smith kids."

Jaden elaborated, adding that he's got it pretty good at his dad's place.

  • Carey Mulligan and Leonardo DiCaprio (Warner Bros)Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" may have made $51 million in the U.S. last weekend, but it wasn't so popular at the Cannes Film Festival.

At the morning press screening, the movie was met with silence when it ended. Many in attendance didn't stay until the end, leaving before the end credits rolled so they could get a seat at the press conference or perform other personal duties after two hours and 20 minutes.

The hope was that the black tie audience in the Palais later on Wednesday would embrace "Gatsby." Alas, the reaction at the end of that screening — which followed the introduction of the all-star jury, a clip reel saluting Steven Spielberg, and an opening speech given in French by Audrey Tatou — was not much better. "Muted response" is how the polite applause might be described. Indifference would be another. To be quite honest, "Gatsby" received one of the milder receptions in the history of Cannes opening

  • Mother’s Day is supposed to be a lovely way to honor the moms we love, but LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville somehow managed to ruin even that special day! The country star is now a stepmother to Mason and Jake, Brandi’s sons with her ex (and LeAnn’s current hubby) Eddie Cibrian and on Sunday, the singer extended an olive branch by sending the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star a bouquet of flowers.

And while the flowers may have been a kind gesture, it quickly lead to yet another vicious Twitter feud between the two blondes! Brandi wrote on Monday, “I thanked @leannrimes on twitter4my flowers. Our relationship is that we still don’t even say hi at baseball. I don’t have her number – that’s it.” Rimes quickly responded with her own tweet: “This was actually the first acknowledgement of my gesture I was made aware of. I didn't see anything else sent to me. It wasn't for the 'thank you.' It was to just simply say Happy Mother's Day. ” But the war of words didn't end there.

If residents of the Hollywood Hills feel things are getting a little serious in the neighborhood, they’ll be happy to know some comic relief just moved in.

Anna Farris and Chris Pratt. (Lester Cohen/WireImage) Married actors Anna Faris and Chris Pratt (you’ll recognize her as the ditzy blonde in movies like “Scary Movie” and “Take Me Home Tonight” and him as star of NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation”) just dropped $3.3 million on a new pad, according to real estate website Zillow.

And they must have really wanted the place. The home was initially listed for $2.975 million back in January, which means the couple paid $325,000 over the asking price.

According to the listing, the four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath Mediterranean-style home totals 4,700 square feet and sits on more than a half acre of land in the picturesque Nichols Canyon, near Sunset Boulevard.

When Faris, 36, and her hubby, 33-year-old Pratt, aren’t cracking each other up, they’ll probably be getting their exercise. The gated property includes an outdoor gym perched above a regulation tennis court.

  • Christy Turlington (Daniel Jackson)These days, anybody who walks down a runway seems to be labeled a supermodel. But Christy Turlington has the distinction of being one of the original catwalkers to first earn the label – and she has the juicy stories to prove it.

At 44, Turlington is more focused on family and her charity, Every Mother Counts, than she is modeling, which she has now been doing now for 30 years. But when she does strike a pose -- as she does in the June issue of Harper's Bazaar – she enjoys being in front of the camera.
