Perry showed up to the Los Angeles office of J.J. Abrams's production company Bad Robot, where the director hosted a shopping and mingling event with label Coach in support of the Children's Defense Fund.

Arriving solo at the soiree, Perry sported a black cocktail frock with an embellished floral print-and-lace detail. She immediately greeted her stylist Johnny Wujek, who served as DJ for the fete.

Though Katy's single these days (she's only been spotted out a handful of times since her split with John Mayer), she wasn't short on company.

In the past week alone, six new cases have taken place, starting with Diddy on Wednesday, April 3, followed by Rihanna on Thursday, Justin Timberlake and Selena Gomez on Friday, Russell Brand on Monday, and Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday. Seacrest was swatted on the same day as his radio interview with Brand, which covered the Monday incident.

Ann Coulter is once again making headlines for being controversial and offensive.
