Anderson Cooper (WireImage for GLAAD)The swatting trend -- or, the placing of emergency calls to initiate police crisis response -- has moved east, as Anderson Cooper is reportedly the latest victim.
According to the New York Post, the CNN anchor, 45, was not home last month when police from the Southampton police department rushed to his home in Quogue, New York, following a 911 call that a man had just shot his wife at the location. When they arrived at the Hamptons home, there was no sign of any shooting.
The police reportedly have no suspects at this time.
