Alicia Keys Explains Her Hamptons Mansion Mistake

Remember that story from a couple of weeks ago when Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz accidentally went into the wrong Hamptons house and made themselves at home in the kitchen?

The "Girl on Fire" singer finally explained the hilarious incident to "omg! Insider" host Kevin Frazier.

"We were going to a friend's house so we put the address into navigation," Keys recalled. "The friend had mentioned that it was going to be very late so she left us a way to get in. It just so happened it was the same thing [at this other house]. We went in there and she described exactly what it ended up being, dogs barking and [having to] find a room."

According to the New York Post's Page Six, which first reported the incident, the owner of the Hamptons home was upstairs in her bedroom when she heard a commotion in the kitchen. Thinking it was her daughter and pals, she went downstairs to see what was going on, only to find Alicia and Swizz partying instead!

"We realized we were at the wrong place when the woman came out and said, 'I don't who you are or what you're doing and why you're here,'" Keys, 32, shared. "It was really an honest mistake!"

All parties involved saw the humor in the situation and went their separate ways. In other words, it looks like the gossip item was just a little bit blown out of proportion!

If we had to have a faux home intruder, Alicia and Swizz would definitely be at the top of our list.
