After 25 Years, Tom Hanks Selling Pacific Palisades Home for $5.2M

Tom Hanks is selling one of his many homes … and it's definitely not a "Money Pit"! The Oscar winner and his actress wife, Rita Wilson, are asking $5.225 million for the 4-bedroom, 5.5-bath home in the posh L.A. enclave of Pacific Palisades, according to real estate website Zillow.

The listing agency's write-up of the 6,289-square-foot pad mentions a privacy wall and giant hedges (perfect for keeping out pesky paparazzi), "elegant large-scale rooms," "charming archways and frescoed ceilings," and a feeling of "1920s Hollywood glamour."

Since buying the place way back in 1988, Tom and Rita have hopefully enjoyed their open kitchen with high-end appliances, a master bedroom featuring a fireplace and attached terrace with views of the nearby Pacific, and, every woman's dream: an entire lower level dedicated to being one fancy giant closet.

The couple certainly doesn't have to buy another L.A. home if they don't want to … they've already got plenty of places to stay, including their beachfront Malibu manse and another 14,500-square–foot estate, also in the Palisades. And with a house that "Big," they can have tons of their "Bosom Buddies" stay over. Ah, we could go on all day …
