New details are emerging about the tragic and sudden death of Paul Walker and his longtime friend and business partner Roger Rodas.
While investigators are trying to determine the circumstances surrounding Saturday's fatal single-car crash in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita, there are a few theories trickling out as to what could have been the cause. Did the Porsche Carrera GT malfunction? Was there another vehicle involved? Or did the driver simply lose control?
1. Speed Was a Factor
This much is clear: "speed was a factor" in the accident. That came straight from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in a statement. According to authorities, the driver appeared to lose control of the Porsche and slammed into a tree and light standard. The posted speed limit is 45 mph; however, the street is notorious for speed freaks, prompting the sheriff's department to crack down on violators in recent years.
2. Were Paul and Roger Street Racing?

Maria Bello has come out as "whatever."
In a New York Times article titled, "Coming Out as a Modern Family," the "Prisoners" actress details how she told her 12-year-old son, Jackson, that she was in a relationship with a woman.
"I was with someone romantically and I hadn’t told [Jack]," Bello writes. "I had become involved with a woman who was my best friend, and, as it happens, a person who is like a godmother to my son."
Maria, 46, explains the process she went through to acknowledge this woman, Clare, was more than just a friend.
"My feelings about attachment and partnership have always been that they are fluid and evolving. Jack’s father, Dan, will always be my partner because we share Jack," pens Bello. "Just because our relationship is nonsexual doesn’t make him any less of a partner … My more recent ex, Bryn, remains my partner because we share our activism. And Clare will always be my partner because she is also my best friend."

A stunned Hollywood is mourning the death of Paul Walker.
Less than 24 hours since it was confirmed the star of "The Fast & Furious" franchise was killed at the age of 40 in an automobile accident, friends, acquaintances, and fans are all sharing memories of Walker and grieving together.
Those who knew Paul paint a similar picture of the late actor: A down-to-earth star who didn't care about fame… A guy's guy who loved to race cars in his free time… A doting father… A charitable celebrity.
In the wake of such a tragedy, those close to Walker want fans to know the actor many looked up to was just as great of a guy off-screen.

If Kanye West is the new Walt Disney, then that would make Kim Kardashian … Marilyn Monroe? According to the rap genius, the answer is yes.
During the "Yeezus" singer's latest promotional blitz, West, 36, compared his baby mama/fiancée/"most beautiful woman of all time" to the Hollywood icon.
"I have a love/hate relationship with the paparazzi but actually I love them because they empower us over, ya know?" Kanye said during an interview with Power 105.1. "They are empowering us over Vanity Fair that want to say that Kate Upton is Marilyn Monroe. Kate Upton ain’t Marilyn Monroe. Kim is Marilyn Monroe, you know that. She was controversial. She [is] controversial."
In case you missed it, Upton, 21, was styled like the "Some Like It Hot" star for Vanity Fair's 100th issue in October.

It has been two years since Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore separated, but the couple is just now officially divorced.
Documents were filed on Tuesday by Kutcher's attorney to end their marriage of six years. The papers in turn were signed off by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon. The couple split up in November 2011.
Ashton filed for divorce in December 2012, while Moore followed suit this past March.
So what was the hold up?

Taylor Swift is having quite the fairytale week.
Fresh off her four wins at Sunday's American Music Awards, the "Red" singer jetted off to London for an event with Prince William.
Swift, 23, attended the Winter Whites Gala — her first royal event — on Tuesday at Kensington Palace in a gown fit for a princess. With her hair swept back, Taylor looked radiant in a long, white, embellished ensemble.
Taylor was at the gala to perform — and perform she did — but she wasn't a solo act the entire time. At one point she and Prince William joined Jon Bon Jovi, who was an honoree for his humanitarian work, for the New Jersey native's hit "Livin' on a Prayer."

Sandra Bullock is perfectly content being single, thank you very much. The "Gravity" star is one of Entertainment Weekly's Entertainers of the Year, and in the issue, the 49-year-old actress reveals she is quite happy with having only one man in her life: Louis. "If [a relationship] should come along, great. But I feel like I'm not missing anything yet," Bullock explains. "Maybe one day I will. But my son is 3 years old, which is an amazing age. Four is an even better age. So if something happens, great, but if not, I've got plenty to do." That's not to say Sandra has her heart set on staying single. "I'm open to whatever comes our way," she says. "I know that sounds vague, but I'm so lucky with what I have and I'm so in love with our life and our routine and how simple and how massive it is. But whatever comes along. "When people are like, 'Life is good,' I go, 'No life is a series of disastrous moments, painful moments, unexpected moments, and things that will break your heart. And in between those moments, that's when you savor, savor, savor,'" continues Bullock. In March 2010, Sandra went through a very public breakup after it was revealed that her husband of five years, Jesse James, cheated on her with multiple women. Though she did not directly address her ex’s infidelity, she told Vogue that everything happened to her for a reason. "We're all where we’re supposed to be," she said. "I am exactly where I want to be now. You can’t go backward. I'm not going backward. I'm grateful that I'm here, blessed to have what I have." The actress has yet to jump into another high-profile relationship ... even with George Clooney. In EW, Sandra responded to George's recent joke that the Oscar-winning actress won't stop drunk dialing him at night. "Yeah, I heard, I heard. You know what? I'm so embarrassed for him because I think he's showing his vulnerable side," quips Bullock. "It's a booty call. But then he wants the commitment and the marriage and I'm like, 'Dude, I don't have the time.' And he's all, 'But I'm not a one night stand kind of guy.' Well, then, I can't.'" George and Sandra clearly is not happening … but America can dream, right? Then again, with two of the biggest films of the year — "The Heat" and "Gravity" — under Sandra's belt, she is clearly doing just fine all by herself.

It's DIY Christmas in the Shepard-Bell household!
While Kristen Bell rushed off to the American Music Awards on Sunday, her actor hubby kept busy by stringing holiday lights on the roof of their home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Feliz.
Dax, 38, looked serious with his workman gloves and tools, making sure the multicolored lights (as if the funny duo would have boring white ones) were nailed down in place.
While the "Parenthood" star was taking on the role of handyman, Bell — who gave birth to daughter Lincoln eight months ago — looked glamorous in a little white dress as she hopped in a limo to present at the AMAs.
Kristen, 33, and Dax tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at the Beverly Hills City Clerk's Office last month, where Bell's best friend Amy served as a witness.
The "Frozen" actress joked on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday that after they tied the knot, she had to go make "pretend love" to Amy's husband.

Awards season, or rather awards campaigning, is officially in full swing.
The new Miss Golden Globe, Sosie Bacon, had a quite the bash in West Hollywood on Thursday, with stars from Mark Wahlberg and Colin Farrell to Abigail Breslin and Lizzy Caplan there to celebrate her new title.
It was announced that evening that Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick's 21-year-old daughter would be taking on the coveted role — following in the footsteps of Rumer Willis, Francesca Eastwood, Lorraine Nicholson, and Lily Costner (to name a few) — so the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle threw a soiree to celebrate the 2014 Golden Globe Awards at Fig & Olive.
"They were really excited," Sosie told omg! about her parents' reaction to being crowned Miss Golden Globe.
Kevin and Kyra, both Golden Globe winners, of course gave their actress daughter a little advice.
"They just want me to be myself, stay true to myself, and work hard — that is their biggest thing," Sosie explained. "Also not to take it too seriously. Just have fun and enjoy it!"
