  • Sheryl Crow: Mom on a Mission

Sheryl Crow wants to teach her son Wyatt that we can leave the Earth a better place than we found it. "If you see something wrong, you can change it through action or education," she says. - Amy Tierney/WireImage.comAs the mom of an 18-month-old son named Wyatt, children's issues are very important to Sheryl Crow. That's why the singer attended the Healthy Child Healthy World gala in Beverly Hills the other night, where she showed her support for the nonprofit, which is dedicated to protecting young children from harmful chemicals.

But the evening wasn't about Sheryl or the other celebs (Ricki Lake, Jane Kaczmarek, Amy Smart, Jessica Capshaw, and Arianna Huffington) who were in attendance. Instead, Shelby Rodriguez, a "regular" mom, was recognized for her work in halting a roof-tarring project that was polluting the air to dangerous levels for herself and her then 3-year-old daughter in Antelope, California, and named 2009's Mom on a Mission.

"The Mom on a Mission award is about honoring one special and inspiring American woman who truly lives Healthy Child Healthy World's message of inspiring parents, teachers, and caregivers to create healthier and happier environments for children and

  • Tori and Stella Shake Their Booties

Tori Spelling and her daughter Stella run errands in Los Angeles. - Nate Jones/Andrew Shawaf/PacificCoastNews.comTori Spelling stepped out in LA with her 16-month-old daughter Stella yesterday. Both were sporting trendy footwear; Tori opted for fringed suede booties, while little Stella rocked some mini Uggs. Atlhough most folks don't have the cash to buy Uggs for their baby, Tori and her hubby Dean McDermott don't have any money concerns ... especially now that their reality show, "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood," has been renewed for a fifth season.

When the new season premieres in spring 2010, fans can expect to get a closer look into Tori and Dean's family life, as well as their own relationship. Plus, the duo plans to take a cross-country road trip with their two children ... and most likely a nanny!

  • Michelle and Matilda Brave the Rain

Michelle Williams and her daughter Matilda aren't afraid of a little rain! - Jackson Lee/Splash NewsMichelle Williams' little girl Matilda was a ray of sunshine on a dreary New York day thanks to her bright yellow raincoat and pink boots. Is it just me, or does the mother-daughter duo look like they stepped straight out of the pages of a fall fashion catalog while making Michelle's morning coffee run?

FYI, Matilda turns 4 years old tomorrow! Kids grow up so darn fast. Happy Birthday, Mattie!

  • Jennifer Garner’s Girls Park It

Although it was chilly, 3-year-old Violet kicked off her shoes while playing at the park with mom. - Donnelly/Maureci/INFDaily.comJennifer Garner and her daughters, Violet and Seraphina, enjoyed a crisp fall day in their dad Ben Affleck's hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Although Ben wasn't able to join in on the fun -- he was busy filming "The Town" -- Violet and Seraphina looked like they were having a ball playing on the slide and swings with mom. Although Jen and Ben are movie stars, the actress recently told Parade magazine that she believes her children "have a very normal upbringing." And whenever I see pics of her out with her rosy-cheeked kids like this, I have to agree!

  • Kimora Lee’s Back in the ‘Fab Lane’

Kimora Lee Simmons cradles her sweet baby boy in what else but a Phat Farm carrier! - Mike/Splash NewsKimora Lee Simmons is back in the "Fab Lane" -- and so is her adorable son, Kenzo Lee. The duo was reportedly filming scenes for Kimora's reality show at the Vasquez Rocks Natural Area County Park, which is about an hour north of Los Angeles. Although you can't see the magnificent rock formations in these pics, I'm pretty curious as to what they were doing at Vasquez Rocks, which is where countless movies and TV shows (usually having western and sci-fi themes) have been filmed. Wouldn't Kimora and Kenzo be more comfortable shopping along Robertson Boulevard?

  • Stylish Suri Screams for Ice Cream

Katie Holmes helps her daughter Suri keep warm while walking through the streets of Boston. - Splash NewsSuri Cruise hit the streets of Boston yesterday with her mom, Katie Holmes, and grandmother in tow. The 3-year-old was stylish as always as she strolled around Quincy Market in a purple ruffled skirt, pretty pink cardigan, and wild leopard-print flats. Since Tom Cruise apparently critique's Katie's wardrobe, I wonder if he has a say as to what his daughter wears as well? Somehow I have a feeling that little Suri wears whatever she wants!

  • Kimora Lee’s Little Star

Kimora Lee Simmons tries to protect her baby boy Kenzo from the paparazzi. - Hot Shots Worldwide/Splash NewsAlthough Kimora Lee Simmons' new son with Djimon Hounsou, Kenzo, is only 4 months old, he's already a little star. During New York Fashion Week, Kimora carried Kenzo down the runway at her spring 2010 Baby Phat show, and the other day he was being photographed by the paparazzi as his parents toted him through LAX. Kimora tried to shield Kenzo from all the flashing bulbs, but the cameras still managed to catch a glimpse of the adorable baby boy. So cute!

  • Angelina Jolie: I’m ‘Really Quite Normal’

Angelina Jolie treats her kids to a shopping spree at a Toys R Us in France. - ATeam/X17online.comAlthough Angelina Jolie is undoubtedly one of Hollywood's biggest stars, the actress insists to Britain's OK! magazine that she's "just a dedicated mother and really quite normal." Although I would usually scoff at a comment like that one (she makes millions and her boyfriend is Brad Pitt!), sometimes she does sort of seem like a regular mom. I love that Brangelina occasionally takes their brood to McDonald's, and sometimes even Toys R Us. The other day, Angie did just that. Sure, she was in France, but the "Changeling" star looked happy as can be holding hands with three of her six children (Shiloh, 3; Zahara, 4; and Pax, 6) as they made their way through the parking lot to every child's favorite store. Making the shopping spree even more exciting was the fact that both Pax and Shiloh were missing front teeth. Wonder how much the tooth fairy leaves at the Jolie-Pitt home?

While Zahara, 4, donned a long purple skirt, 3-year-old Shiloh rocked a pair of camouflage pants and her dad's hat, which she accessorized with a plastic sword. - ATeam/X17online.com

  • Jennie Garth’s Girl Time

Jennie Garth poses on the cover of Cookie's October issue with her three daughters: Luca, 12; Lola, 6; and Fiona, 3. - Matt Jones/CookieWhen Jennie Garth isn't portraying Kelly Taylor on "90210," the character she first brought to life in 1990, she's busy raising three daughters (Luca, 12; Lola, 6; and Fiona, 3) with her husband, actor Peter Facinelli ... or scrubbing. "I really enjoy taking something, digging in, and cleaning it," she says in Cookie magazine's October issue. "It's weird, but it gives me sanity."

Making statements like that one, Garth comes across as being a rather likeable and down-to-earth mom. So why does she feel inadequate when she reads interviews with other celebrity mothers? "I think, 'This lady has all of this time to do amazing stuff. She has this amazing marriage. Everything in her life sounds perfect.' My life is not like that."

Her life was also nothing like the lives of the current young stars of today -- who are hounded by the paparazzi and scrutinized by the media -- when she was getting her first taste of fame at the age of 22. "I had my share of screwups, but they weren't
