  • Jennie Garth’s Storybook Life

Jennie Garth and her family hit the red carpet for a charity event in L.A. - Alexandra Wyman/WireImage.comBy now we know that actress Jennie Garth is nothing like Kelly Taylor, the character she played on "Beverly Hills, 90210." Save for that voice mail from Luke Perry she needs to return or her recent conversation with Ian Ziering, Jennie is about as far as you can get from the spring princess who was stalked, burned in a fire, and addicted to drugs on TV.

In real life, the 38-year-old is married to "Twilight" actor Peter Facinelli and mom to three girls: 13-year-old Luca, 7-year-old Lola, and 4-year-old Fiona. She acts when she finds a project she loves, like the movie "Mulligan" that airs on the Hallmark Channel in January (and which her hubby co-wrote!), but her priorities are clear. "I need to be there for my girls," she tells omg! in an interview. "That's the role I'm playing right now." That means continuing lots of family traditions over the holidays. "We'll have the full sit-down dinner in the afternoon," Jennie reveals. "Christmas cookies are definitely on the roster this year.

  • Jessica Alba: The New Lucille Ball?

Jessica Alba rocks the cover of Elle magazine. - Carter Smith/ElleNo sane person would deny that Jessica Alba is beautiful. But many of them probably wonder what she was thinking when she made stinkers like "Good Luck Chuck," "Honey," and "The Love Guru." In a new interview with Elle magazine, Jessica explains. "I know I haven't been swimming in the deep end with some of the movies I've done," she admits. "I wasn't trying to. I knew what they were."

The 29-year-old was forced to take a step back from Hollywood -- and perhaps do some career re-evaluating -- in 2008 when she had her adorable daughter, Honor Marie, after a surprise pregnancy. "I had been working straight since the age of 12," Jess says. "And it was just so clear that there was something more important out there."

By the time she returned to the biz, the former "Dark Angel" star's priorities had changed: Jessica wanted non-leading lady roles where she could show off her comedic chops. Interestingly enough, she aspires to have a career like that of comedy greats Lucille Ball and Steve

  • Katy Perry: ‘I’m Kind of a Good Girl’

Pop star Katy Perry covers the December issue of Harper's Bazaar . - Alexi Lubomirski/HarperBy the time we met Katy Perry she was already singing provocatively about kissing girls and melting boys' popsicles, but she actually grew up the daughter of a pastor and has "JESUS" tattooed on her left wrist. Part of the reason she loves new hubby Russell Brand is he fulfilled her wish for "a great man of God, someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father," she says in a new Harper's Bazaar interview. "We're at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together. He's thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him."

Who would've thought Russell Brand was "thought-provoking"? Here are a few more things Katy confesses:

She and Russell sometimes go to great lengths to avoid the paparazzi. It goes beyond that airport altercation. "We go through kitchens, wear disguises," Katy admits, noting the couple has no plans to lower their profiles. "There's no slowing down,

  • Emma Watson’s Post-’Harry Potter’ Home

Emma Watson is the cover girl for Marie Claire's December issue. After a decade of co-starring in one of the biggest movie franchises of all time, it's not like "Harry Potter's" Emma Watson could enroll undetected at Brown University. Despite her mega-movie star status, the actress tells Marie Claire that somehow she really has found a home there.

"Brown has a real sense of community, and people are very protective of me," the 20-year-old says. "They really look out for me; they want me to feel like I'm part of it. I threw my 20th birthday party at Brown, and I didn't even have to say to anyone not to put pictures on Facebook. Not a single picture went up. That was when I knew I'd found a solid group of friends, and I felt like I belonged." Not that she's like any other student -- she remembers once answering a question correctly in class and a classmate calling out, "Score 20 points for Gryffindor!" -- but they've mostly managed to restrain themselves.

  • Miley’s All Grown Up in New Video

Miley Cyrus is having a tough week. First, Australia's The Daily Telegraph claimed that her on-again Aussie beau Liam Hemsworth spent Sunday night partying with a model -- after Miley and Liam had called it quits once again. The next day, Us Weekly reported more bad news, alleging the real reason Miley's parents recently decided to split after 17 years is her mom Tish's affair with Bret Michaels ... which started when he recorded a duet with Miley. At least the singer can take solace in her work while she's going through hard times.

One of Miley's many professional projects is a music video for her producing team Rock Mafia's song "The Big Bang" that premiered Monday. While we've often seen the star trying to act older than her 17 years (she turns 18 on November 23), this video is the one where she finally comes across as more grown up and less "Hannah Montana" playing dress up.

Miley's racy role is that of the female eye candy to "Gossip Girl" hottie Kevin Zeger's garage employee.

  • Nick Jonas Takes a Fall

Nick Jonas (right) is all smiles before performing with his bros Kevin and Joe. - Victor Chavez/WireImageEven Nick Jonas is not immune to an embarrassing moment every now and then, as evidenced by a video clip showing the cutie falling onstage during a JoBros concert in Mexico City last Sunday. The 18-year-old goes down at about the 2:00 minute mark after a flip gone wrong.

Fortunately, he escaped uninjured and with a good sense of humor intact. He later posted on Twitter that the performance was a "Great show... even though I had an epic fail during the flips with Joe. Can't wait to see that on YouTube... Not."

Hopefully, Nick will have better luck with his stunts as the guys continue their tour to support "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" with Demi Lovato. The Disney stars are set to rock South America at concerts through November 13.

  • So Long to ‘The City’

Whitney Port led "The City" cast, which included Erin Kaplan, Roxy Olin, and Olivia Palermo. - MTVWhen Whitney Port left "The Hills" to film "The City" in NYC, I had high hopes. What could be more fun than living vicariously through Whit as she made her way in the fashion capital of the world? The 25-year-old managed to win over the sometimes scary PR maven Kelly Cutrone and create her own line, Whitney Eve, but she couldn't survive MTV's decision to end the show after just two seasons.

Fortunately, she seems to be taking it well. "It's okay, one door closes and another opens," Whitney told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Monday. She later posted on her blog that she has "a few things in the works, but right now I'm primarily focusing on my clothing line Whitney Eve. After all, it is my baby. I'm just so happy to be back home [in L.A.], I can finally spend unlimited time with those I love."

Well, that's great for Whitney, but it's terrible news for those of us who will no longer get to peek inside the offices of People's Revolution and Elle magazine, or get a behind-the-scenes look
