  • Tori Presents Her Children’s Book

Tori Spelling shows off her latest book at a branch of the New York Public Library on Wednesday in NYC. - Ben Hider/Getty Images North AmericaAlthough you probably know her best from her reality show or, like me, from the original "Beverly Hills, 90210," these days Tori Spelling has become quite the author. The actress recently released her fourth book, a children's tale called "Presenting ... Tallulah" about a little girl figuring out who she is.

Tori, who must be a pro on book tours by now, signed copies of her latest work Wednesday at a Borders in NYC. The "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" star even posed for party pics with some of her fans and their little ones.

When she announced her plan to take on the project in February, the mother of 3-year-old Liam and 2-year-old Stella cited her own tiny tots. "I love reading to my kids," Tori said. "It's our special time together. That and my passion for storytelling inspired me to write a children's book of my own to read to them and children everywhere."

Promoting the new book has taken Tori away from her kids at times, but she always seems excited to reunite with them. On

  • The Two Sides of Selena Gomez

You're forgiven for forgetting every now and then that Selena Gomez -- who has become a major brand in music, TV, movies, and even fashion -- is as young as she is. The teen queen, who only turned 18 two months ago, often comes across as mature and eloquent in the appearances she makes promoting her many projects, including her new album, A Year Without Rain, and her new Dream Out Loud clothing line for Kmart.

Then again, as Selena herself admits in a new interview with W magazine, in some ways she's still very much like a little girl. "My cousin's 18, and her friends are talking about college and fighting with their boyfriends, and I've never experienced any of that stuff, because I guess I'm living a different lifestyle," she confesses. "I've been raised around adults, but I'm still very naive."

For example, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star was shocked after hearing George Lopez speak at the 2009 ALMA

  • ‘You Again’ Stars Remember High School

Whether you were labeled one of the cool kids, a total loner, or even a nerd, high school is usually painful, and the memories can linger long after graduation. That's what the new movie "You Again," which hits theaters Friday, September 24, is all about. In the flick, "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" starlet Kristen Bell -- whose character is a successful career woman -- finds herself confronted once again with her nemesis from her awkward years. The reason? The mean girl, played by "Cloverfield's" Odette Yustman, is all set to marry her brother! Toss in an all-star cast of funny ladies (Kristin Chenoweth, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, plus the legendary Betty White), and the comedy commences.

Of course, high school is not so hilarious when you're dealing with bullies, experiencing your first heartbreak, and struggling with breakouts and fashions you'll inevitably regret wearing later. As Kristen dramatically explains it, "High school is a pit of despair. It's a swirling tornado of

  • Spencer Pratt Shaves His Creepy Beard

Reality star Spencer Pratt sports his infamous beard. - MVP-Mariotto/X17online.comIn a frenzy of dramatic music, lots of fake blood, and plenty of flesh-colored hair, former "Hills" star Spencer Pratt has finally shed his creepy beard. The grooming session was "in honor of things working out between my wife, Heidi Montag, and myself," he said in a video posted to YouTube (natch!) on Tuesday.

Spencer, 27, has proven time and again he knows how to work the media, but he might need a new gimmick soon. Both his much commented on facial hair (even the background on his Twitter page says, "grab life by the flesh-colored beard") and his alleged split with Heidi are now part of pop culture history. In case you can't keep up, Spencer and his plastic surgery-loving other half are rekindling their romance -- or at least pretending to be, if they were ever really apart -- after Pratt was detained for 12 hours earlier this month at a Costa Rica airport for illegal arms possession.

The reality villain has also made plenty of headlines this year thanks to a new "movie" he's

  • Heidi’s ‘Project’ Fun Day

Heidi spends some QT with her little ones on Sunday at an L.A. park. - Splash NewsAfter much hard work judging the "Project Runway" fashion show at New York Fashion Week, Heidi Klum took some time to relax with the family on Sunday at Coldwater Canyon Park in L.A. The smiling supermodel was sans hubby Seal, but she had plenty of company in their cute kids: Leni, 6; Henry, who turned 5 on September 15; Johan, 3; and Lou, 11 months.

The group hit the swings and then enjoyed a yummy picnic, which ended with a snow cone for Leni! Heidi also walked with little Lou and lavished all her children with affection.

Earlier this year, the German-born bombshell offered her advice for fellow moms, which she seems to live by: "I think you should have a great time with it," she told Modelinia.com. "It's such an amazing experience."

  • Fashionable Celebs Remember Alexander McQueen

Sarah Jessica Parker attends the private memorial for Alexander McQueen in London. - Fred Duval/FilmMagic.comEven if you know very little about fashion, you most likely know about Alexander McQueen. The name of the late designer, who outfitted celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham, and Rihanna to name a few, was -- and still is -- tossed around frequently on the red carpet. When he committed suicide at age 40 on February 11, Hollywood mourned with followers of high-end fashion.

McQueen's private memorial was held on Monday -- appropriately enough during London Fashion Week -- at St. Paul's Cathedral, which was brimming with bold-faced names: "Sex and the City" style icon SJP wiped away tears, Bjork performed a song called "Gloomy Sunday," and models Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss sashayed down the procession line. Anna Wintour, the editor of Vogue, was among those who spoke to the reported crowd of about 1,000. She called McQueen "a complex and gifted young man," adding that "his was an 18-year career of harnessing his dreams and demons."

    McQueen -- who was
