A zippy little sports car usually isn't an option again until junior is off to college and said parents become empty nesters.

Except, that is, if you're mom of eight Kate Gosselin.

The 36-year-old reality star (make that former reality star) recently went out and bought herself a brand new Audi TT. It's got leather seats, a turbo-charged engine, and can go up to 130 miles per hour. What it can't do is hold even a fraction of Kate's big brood in its miniscule back seat. Kind of an unusual choice for a single mom of 7-year-old sextuplets and 10-year-old twins, no?

You might be thinking, "Hey, if she's got the money, let her get whatever extra car she wants." Thing is, Kate's reality show "Kate Plus 8" (the spinoff of the TLC monster hit "Jon and Kate Plus 8"

Charlie Sheen's life is anything but ordinary, with goddesses running in and out of the house and ex-wives and children scattered all around Los Angeles. (They were also photographed together enjoying what looked like a romantic getaway in Mexico last month.) More than two decades later, Soleil, 35, is an entrepreneur and social media maven with a new parenting book, Happy Chaos. The mom-of-two talked to Parade.com about her "Punky" years, her famous teen crush, and why a little chaos isn't a bad thing.

On her claim to fame as Punky Brewster. "I totally embrace it because I love the character, Punky. She was spunky and such a fun character to play because she was full of love and life. I still hold her very close to my heart."  

Have her daugthers, Poet, 6, and Jagger, 3, ever seen an episode of "Punky Brewster"? "They've caught a couple of exclusives on YouTube. They think it's hysterical. Whenever I'm wearing braids, I'll hear them calling me, 'Punky,' which is really funny."

What she is focused on, however, are new career endeavors -- writing and directing -- both of which she says she fell into by accident.

It was about with the flu that led her to write the script that's now her latest film, "In the Land of Blood and Honey," a love story set during the Bosnian Civil War. "I had to be quarantined from the children for two days. I was in the attic of a house in France. I was isolated, pacing. I don't watch TV and I wasn't reading anything. So I started writing," she explains.

The buff dad of two came armed with a raft and an inner tube, which his kids -- 6-year-old Ava and 11-year-old Oscar -- both spent plenty of time on. This time around, however, Hugh's wife of 15 years, Australian actress Deborra-Lee Furness and their precious French Bulldog, Mochi, were nowhere to be found. Brad went with a preppy look, donning khaki pants and a white cardigan, as he held hands with 3-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox and carried a few of the kids' toys on their way out of the theater. A nanny was on hand to help with Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh. This isn't the first time the Jolie-Pitt brood has been treated to an afternoon movie across the pond. Last month, Angelina took all six kids to a private screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." Maybe Brad and Angelina are gunning to become the next Siskel and Ebert for the kids' set?
