Hayden Panetierre on the cover of Self's December issue. (Kenneth Willardt/Self)Hayden Panettiere has been a vocal advocate for endangered whales for a few years now. She's appeared in the Oscar-winning expose documentary "The Cove," flown to Japan to try to take on local governments when it comes to whaling laws, and serves as spokesperson Whaleman Foundation, which fights to protect whales and dolphins. So we kind of figured she'd be a vocal vegetarian, too. Turns out salads just don't cut it for her … and she even eats fish.
"I tried vegetarianism, but my body didn't respond well. I was low-energy. Now I make egg-white scrambles with veggies for breakfast. For lunch, I have chicken or fish and greens, which are good for keeping your system working," she says in the December issue of Self. "I'm a fan of sushi for dinner, as long as the fish aren't endangered. When I indulge, I try to do it in the morning so I can burn it off. It's my responsibility to be healthy and, no, I'm not going to starve. I'm sorry — I can't be full on salad."Read More »from Hayden Panettiere: No to Vegetarianism, Yes to Curves

Guy Fieri fired back against the writer of a bad review. (Taylor Hill/Getty Images)In response to the searing New York Times review his new Manhattan restaurant received this week (which quickly went viral and made headlines around the Web on Wednesday), Food Network star Guy Fieri fired back on the "Today" show Thursday morning, claiming the food critic who wrote the piece was simply trying to gain attention for himself. In a 1000-plus-word review, which some are calling the worst in the paper's history, writer Pete Wells bashed Fieri's new 500-seat eatery Guy's American Kitchen & Bar in Manhattan with a series of questions-belying-insults like "How did Louisiana's blackened, Cajun-spiced treatment turn into the ghostly nubs of unblackened, unspiced white meat in your Cajun Chicken Alfredo?" and "Why did the toasted marshmallow taste like fish?"Read More »from Guy Fieri Responds to Scathing New York Times Review

Guy Fieri. (Ray Tamarra/Getty Images)If you watch Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives," you know that the show's star, Guy Fieri spews accolades at nearly every eatery he stops — gushing about garlic fries, cheering for chili, and drooling over dry-rubbed steaks.
But the 44-year-old didn't get quite the same treatment when it came time for The New York Times food critic Pete Wells to review Fieri's new mega-restaurant, Guy's American Kitchen & Bar, a 500-seat eatery smack in the middle of Times Square.
In a rare zero-star review (which some are calling the writer's harshest ever), Wells dedicates none of his more than 1,000 words to anything positive, instead making the piece a series of searing questions for Fieri — questions about the food that paint a very unappetizing picture.Read More »from Guy Fieri’s New NYC Eatery Gets Awful New York Times Review
- Lizbeth Scordo | omg! from Yahoo! – Wed, Nov 14, 2012 8:00 AM ESTWhen you play a male stripper in film and spend many of your scenes half naked, you pretty much automatically get nominated for the Sexiest Man Alive title … and probably have a good chance of winning. Indeed, “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum did just that and has clinched the honor of being named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2012, landing on the cover of this week’s issue. But despite his good looks and buff physique, he didn’t quite believe it.
"My first thought was, 'Y'all are messing with me,'" the 32-year-old actor tells People of hearing the news. "I told Jenna [Tatum’s wife of three years is actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum] after we'd been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they'd gotten skunked. She was like, 'What?'"
"People know him to be fun and sexy, but they don't know how emotionally deep and spiritually open he is," says Dewan-Tatum, 31, who’s now taken to calling him theRead More »from Channing Tatum named People’s Sexiest Man Alive

Denise Richards and her new addition, Tara. (North Shore Animal League)
Denise Richards' crowded house is about to get even more crowded. The 41-year-old, who lives with her three daughters, her father, and a house full of dogs in Los Angeles, just added another four-legged friend to the family.
Over the weekend, Richards flew to the East Coast and visited Long Island's North Shore Animal League America to help promote the non-profit's animal rescue efforts in the wake of devastating Hurricane Sandy and encourage the public to adopt a pet.
The actress did such a good job, she even convinced herself, and ended up adopting an adorable little dog named Tara.Read More »from Denise Richards adopts dog rescued in Hurricane Sandy

Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy at Friday's Knicks game. (James Devaney/WireImage)Pro basketball games aren't usually a popular spot for PDA, unless a duo suddenly finds themselves the subject of the kiss cam, which plasters the faces of happy couples on a giant video screen for the entire sports arena to see, and then pressures them into spontaneously smooching on camera to prove their love.
Though sports fans didn't get to see Mary-Kate Olsen, 26, and her boyfriend, 42-year-old French banker Olivier Sarkozy, on the big screen at Friday night's New York Knicks game at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, those seated near the twosome got an eyeful as the two canoodled throughout the game from their courtside seats as photographers snapped away.Read More »from Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy canoodle courtside
Jennifer Hudson on getting used to her new body: ‘I keep thinking that I probably need an extra-large’By Lizbeth Scordo | Balance: Healthy Hollywood Living – Thu, Nov 8, 2012 4:08 PM EST

Daniel Craig as James Bond (Columbia Pictures)
If you've taken a look at the early reviews for the new James Bond flick, "Skyfall," you'll see that critics are gushing over the 23rd installment of the franchise and over Daniel Craig's portrayal of the tuxedo-wearing, martini-drinking, secret agent ladies' man. It's almost as if Craig has James Bond in his blood. And, it turns out, he kind of does.
Genealogy website Ancestry.com has told omg! from Yahoo! exclusively that the 44-year-old British leading man is actually related to James Bond, the man author Ian Fleming named the iconic character after when he wrote his first novel, Casino Royale back in 1953.

As die-hard 007 fans know, the real James Bond wasn't an international spy and man of mystery, however, but, actually a bird expert. (Yes, really.) Fleming, an avid bird watcher himself, was familiar with ornithologist (a fancy name for one who studies birds) James Bond, author of the book Birds of the West Indies, andRead More »from Daniel Craig related to James Bond … and royalty

The home Olivia Wilde is selling for $2.495 million. (Redfin)
Olivia Wilde seems to have a bit of trouble making up her mind when it comes to deciding where she wants to live. Shortly after splitting from her husband of nearly a decade in early 2011, she put the couple's Venice, California, home on the market for more than $3 million just a year after buying the property. The "Cowboys and Aliens" star then moved across town to a house she purchased in the L.A. enclave of Los Feliz in March 2011. Now, less than a year and a half after moving in, she's putting the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom Spanish villa on the market for $2.495 million.Read More »from Olivia Wilde selling L.A. home she bought last year
