Thanks to her fresh-faced beauty and naturally slim figure, the Duchess of Cambridge looks simply stunning most of the time, even when she’s caught off guard by paparazzi.

In other words, she’s one of the lucky ones.

So it came as kind of a surprise, when her first official portrait was unveiled on Friday, that the 31-year-old looked, well, a little off.

The portrait, painted by award-winning artist Paul Emsley, features Middleton, thee of youthful good looks and sparkling smile, looking older than her years, with sunken, line-laced eyes, and pursed lips.

The Internet has since blown up with less-than-enthusiastic feedback from some members of her adoring public, journalists, and art critics alike.

(George Pimentel/WireImage)Two years ago, Charlie Sheen was still a few weeks away from his now-famous meltdown which involved getting himself fired from his cash cow sitcom “Two and Half Men” after publicly trashing the show’s creator, giving bizarre TV interviews laced with phrases like “tiger blood’ and winning,” and parading around a gaggle of girlfriends he called goddesses. But with those, er, exciting days behind him, the 47-year-old seems to be going on a different path and has actually done a series of good deeds lately.

His latest good karma move? Writing a check for $12,000 to the family of the paparazzo who was struck and killed by a car last week while trying to get a shot of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari.

After taking a break from the big screen, “Star Wars” star Hayden Christensen seems to be in demand again, with three films in the works, including this year’s upcoming warrior-action flick “Outcast,” co-starring Nicholas Cage. But things aren’t coming together for the 31-year-old quite as easily when it comes to real estate.

Christensen listed his 6,300-square-foot gated home in Studio City, California, nearly four months ago for $2.65 million, and later dropped the price of the 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom property by more than $150,000, to the current list price of $2.495 million. The house, located in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley, is currently still on the market.

Madonna put another one of her homes on the market this week,  her 9-bedroom, 15-bath Beverly Hills mansion, for $22.5 million. (For those who don’t feel like doing the math, that’s only $1.5 million per bathroom.)

According to Redfin, how much the 54-year-old paid for the house back in 2003 was never disclosed, but the real estate website estimates the purchase price to have been somewhere around $14 million. Madonna recently dropped some cash to remodel the home, but she still stands to make a tidy profit if she gets close to her asking price.

Rosie O’Donnell surprised fans on Tuesday when she tweeted a photo of herself and wife Michelle Rounds holding their brand new bundle of joy. “we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota - #withloveandthanks – AMEN,” O’Donnell wrote beneath the pic, which features the two women cradling the tiny infant.

"I'm still working on it, but I'm not worrying about it. We live in a society where everyone's like, 'Look at how amazing she looks two weeks out.' I don't want to be on that hamster wheel; that's hell,” Barrymore, who gave birth to daughter Ivy in late September, confesses to Good Housekeeping. “I'm never going to have the kind of body that makes me excited about bikini season. I've never had a 'beach body.' But I want to feel like I'm showing up and doing my best. My goal is to be nice to myself, gentle toward myself, during this process. It's such a sacred time."

His very public meltdown in early 2011 began with the then “Two and Half Men” star trashing a hotel room then trashing show creator (and his boss at the time) Chuck Lorre, whom he referred to as a “maggot ” among other things (antics that ended up costing him a lot more than that hotel room).

And lest we forget all those references to “winning,” “tiger blood,” and “warlocks,” culminating in a bizarre one-man show that toured the country.

Though the 47-year-old may seem to have moved on, eventually going to rehab,  landing his very own new TV show, and confessing to Playboy magazine last year that he “cracked,” there’s one component of that crazy old life that Sheen doesn’t seem willing to let go: his goddesses.
