The “Cougar Town” actress kept the world abreast of the activities in and around this year’s SAG Awards as the show’s “social media ambassador,” tweeting a fun play-by-play out to her ever-growing roster of Twitter fans. (And the expectant mom got major props from the fashion blogosphere for her curve-hugging gown.)

Though she’s been acting for nearly 15 years – with early roles in “Freaks and Geeks” and “Dawson’s Creek” – she seems to still be gaining new fans on a daily basis. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Ms. Philipps, here are our top eight reasons to jump on the Busy bandwagon.

For most of us, hitting a nightclub until the wee morning hours would be enough excitement for one night, but rapper Rick Ross got an extra dose when he was the target of an attempted drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

The eccentric musician had spent the night celebrating his 37^th birthday at club LIV in Miami, and later, while driving down swanky Las Olas Boulevard with his fashion designer girlfriend Sateria Moragne-el, shots were fired in the direction of the couple’s 2011 silver Rolls Royce, causing Ross to lose control of the vehicle and crash into an apartment building, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

While Manti Te’o’s interview with Katie Couric probably left more questions than answers, the Notre Dame football player didn’t waver when it came to the two big points: He wasn’t behind the hoax and he’s not gay.

The two-bedroom’s roster of former tenants includes actresses Rachel Bilson and Rose McGowan, and Goodwin bought the place from “Cougar Town” star Busy Phillips.

Six years later, she’s a true star in her own right thanks to a five-season stint on “Big Love,” roles in a slew of feature films and a new gig as star of the ABC fantasy series “Once Upon a Time.” Yet, she’s remained in the same house.

The Colombian songstress and her boyfriend, professional soccer player Gerard Pique, welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, according to Shakira’s personal website.

“We are happy to announce the birth of Milan, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 22nd at 9:36pm, in Barcelona, Spain,” the statement read. “The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification. “
