  • Ryan Gosling Saves Woman From Getting Hit by NYC Cab

Gosling, the hero. (Francois Durand/Getty Images)It's a bird, it's a plane — it's Ryan Gosling! A British journalist claims that the oh-so-handsome actor rescued her from being struck by a New York City cab on Tuesday night. In a series of tweets, Laurie Penny detailed her brush with life-saving fame. "I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally. That actually just happened," she wrote first to her nearly 40,000 followers. "I was crossing 6th avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi." But Penny, who writes for The Nation and Al-Jazeera, says she didn't realize it was the "Ides of March" actor until it was "confirmed by girl near me, who said 'you lucky bitch.'"

  • Rihanna covers Elle. (Tom Munro/ELLE)Rihanna has no apologies. When the pop star made her reconciliation with abuser Chris Brown public in February — she released a duet on the remix of her song, "Birthday Cake" — the backlash was loud, but she wasn't listening. "I respect what other people have to say," the "We Found Love" singer, 24, tells Elle in its May cover story. "The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently. It's very hard for me to accept, but I get it. People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that's all right. I don't hate them for it. Because tomorrow I'm still going to be the same person. I'm still going to do what I want to do."

  • Kate Gosselin Responds to Slam by ‘DWTS’ Pro Partner

Gosselin and Dovolani on DWTS. (James Devaney/WireImage)Kate Gosselin has been on the warpath lately. The reality mom-of-eight has been battling anyone and everyone who has had something negative to say about her on her Twitter page, including her ex-husband Jon Gosselin and even some of her 85,000 followers. Her latest victim? Tony Dovolani, who was paired up with Gosselin for the 10th season of "Dancing with the Stars" in 2010. On Friday, the dance pro revealed on Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show that after working with the notoriously hot-tempered Gosselin, he needed "a lot of therapy." On Monday, the former "Kate Plus 8" star ripped Dovolani — and Cooper — in a bitter blog post.

  • Kate Winslet: Leonardo DiCaprio Is ‘Fatter’ Since ‘Titanic’

Winslet. (Richard Bord/Getty Images)DiCaprio. (Steve Granitz/WireImage)Kate Winslet has done it again. Just days after she revealed that hearing the theme from "Titanic" — Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" — makes her want to "throw up," the actress has made another verbal blunder. In an interview with iTV's "Daybreak" to promote "Titanic 3-D," she was asked how she and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio have changed since the original film's 1997 release and she was quite frank in her answer. "We do look very different, we're older," Winslet explained. "Leo's 37, I'm 36 — we were 21 and 22 when we made that film. You know, he's fatter now — I'm thinner."

  • See Trailer for Whitney Houston’s Final Film, ‘Sparkle’

Houston with Sparks. (Tristar Pictures)Whitney Houston may be gone, but her legend is certainly not forgotten. And it lives on in the movie she completed just before her February 11 death, "Sparkle," in which she plays a single mother of three young daughters who are trying to break into the music business — something she had failed to do in her own youth. The trailer for the Motown musical, which hits theaters August 17, has just been released, and in it, Houston's final performance really resonates, especially the heart-tugging scene where she performs the gospel hymn "His Eye On The Sparrow" in an empty church as her daughter, who's in an abusive relationship, nurses a black eye.

There is no love lost between Kate Winslet and Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," the theme song to her 1997 blockbuster, "Titanic." The Oscar-winning actress was asked her thoughts on the inescapable track during promotion for the 3-D release of the iconic film — and she didn't mince words. "Like throwing up," she described to MTV matter-of-factly. "No, I shouldn't say that … No, actually, I do feel like throwing up. I wish I could say, 'Oh listen, everybody! It's the Celine Dion song!' But I don't. I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll."
