When "Buckwild" premiered on MTV in January, it was hyped as a possible successor to "Jersey Shore," which ended its reign on the cable network in December 2012. Sadly, the West Virginia-based show took a major hit when its star, Shain Gandee, died earlier this week.

So, other than offering to foot the bill for Gandee's funeral, what should MTV do next? We hit the red carpet for WWE's Superstars for Sandy Relief party in New York City to get some of the "Jersey Shore" castmembers' take on the matter.

  • Proof That Angelina Jolie Isn’t Perfect After All

Angelina Jolie (Getty Images)When Angelina Jolie turned up at the 4th annual Women in the World Summit on Thursday at Lincoln Center in New York City, the Internet lit up with stories on how gorgeous she looked, her lighter hair, her engagement ring, and her dress.

And, yeah, we should definitely take a moment to honor the good she announced she was doing while she was there, namely that she pledged to honor Malala Yousafzai -- the 15-year-old Pakistani girl who was shot by the Taliban in October because she wanted to go to school -- with $200,000 going towards the Malala Fund established by Vital Voices to benefit girls' education.

But, it's Friday and, let's be honest, we need a little schadenfreude to propel us into the weekend. Well, behold Angelina's gnarly toes!

In a letter sent to the National Milk Producers Federation, the "Place Beyond the Pines" actor explained that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) had informed him of the practice of "dehorning" cows and called for it to be eliminated. He even offered a more humane alternative. Double swoon.

  • Andy Cohen’s Spring Fashion Dos and Don’ts for Men

Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live' (Bravo)Outspoken is one word that comes to mind when considering Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" TV host Andy Cohen. Of course, fashionable is another one.

The man who sits front and center at all those crazy "Housewives" reunions has teamed with online retailer Gilt to curate a pair of sales on Gilt MAN and Gilt City that launched on Wednesday. Needless to say, he enjoyed the process of helping others shop.

"It was so fun. I was like Andy Wintour," he told omg! Tuesday night at a dinner at Maysville in New York City to celebrate the collection. "They gave me all these options and I got to 'X' things out and choose looks that I like. I'm very opinionated about fashion, so it was really fun for me to get to do."

  • The Tragic Irony of 'Buckwild' Star Shain Gandee's Death: He Was About to Get a Raise

Shain Gandee (Getty Images)Shain Gandee was about to see a significant change in his finances before he passed away on Monday.

In a sad twist of fate, the "Buckwild" star – along with seven of his castmates – had renegotiated their contracts with MTV and were about to sign a deal for a 300 percent pay increase for the show's second season. That would bring their respective incomes from $1,000 per episode in season one to $4,000 per episode in season two, as well as an additional $5,000 bonus, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Gandee's family has been working to raise money to help cover funeral costs for the reality television star, as well as his uncle, David Gandee, 48, and Donald Robert Myers, 27, who died alongside him. Thankfully, it appears that Parallel Entertainment and Zoo Productions – the producers of MTV's "Buckwild" – will be footing the bill for the funeral of the show's star, Shain Gandee.

At age 23, is Hayden Panettiere ready to settle down and have children?

Not quite. But that doesn't mean she hasn't thought about it, especially when it comes to her on-again boyfriend, boxer Wladimir Klitschko, 37.

"I feel like I was born to be a mother," she says in the May 2013 issue of Glamour. "Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, ‘Your life ends — you’re never going to be able to do anything again!’ And I'm like, 'What are you talking about?' Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there's nothing that I feel like I can't accomplish while having children in my life. I would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids."
