Teen bride Courtney Stodden gets dramatic makeover

Courtney Stodden celebrated her recent 18th birthday by getting a makeover that makes her look more "age appropriate." Ever since she married former "Lost" actor Doug Hutchison at the age of 16, many have wondered if she wasn't actually much older, based on her appearance: ashy-blond hair and garish makeup. But now, dare we day, Stodden actually resembles a cute teen girl … who just so happens to also wear revealing clothing and stripper-style heels.

The aspiring singer stepped out on Wednesday with her 51-year-old hubby for a shopping spree at The Grove in Los Angeles and debuted her new look. The biggest improvement is definitely her hair, which is more a yellow-blond a la Christina Aguilera and much longer thanks to extensions. Stodden has also traded her '80s-esque frosted pink lipstick for a deep red, which also looks like a page out of Xtina's style book … hmmmm. But it wouldn't be the real Courtney Stodden if she wasn't also clad in a skintight, low-cut red "dress" and sky-high Lucite heels.

Although some are speculating that Stodden's new look is the result of plastic surgery, her mother-manager Krista Keller says her daughter absolutely did not go under the knife. "She's doing her makeup differently—that's all it is!" Keller told E! News. "Courtney decided she wanted to change her makeup. She went for a lighter, more natural look, old Hollywood kind of look. All she did was lighten her hair, used a lighter shade of makeup and tanner, and not use as much eyeliner."

From the moment she became legal on August 29, Stodden has been fielding all kinds of XXX offers. "I'm not gonna say yes right now ... and I'm not gonna say no," she told TMZ. But on her Twitter page, she clarified that while she was against making porn, she was totally game to pose for Playboy. Too bad, the lad mag didn't feel the same. "[Playboy] would never take her," a publication source told the site, because the teen "doesn't meet the standards of a Playboy model" because her looks are so obviously "enhanced."

But people can see Stodden (with her clothes on) and Hutchison on VH1's "Couples Therapy," which debuts on October 3. Will you be tuning in?
