When you've got a wife and four kids, what you need is space. And that's what Mark Wahlberg appears to have plenty of at his gated Beverly Hills mansion, which includes seven bedrooms and a whopping 10 bathrooms spread out over 9,000 square feet.

But "The Fighter" actor is apparently looking for a place that's bigger … three times bigger, actually. And, perhaps unable to find an available property to suit his needs, the 40-year-old and his wife, model Rhea Durham, reportedly bought a six-acre piece of land a couple years back and have recently begun construction on a custom, 30,000-square-foot mega-mansion.

Considering the family spent a reported $8.25 million on the new lot, they're probably getting a little antsy to unload their current place, but capturing a buyer has proven to be an uphill battle. The couple has made two other unsuccessful attempts to sell the manse in recent years, first listing the home — which sits on nearly an acre and a half — at just under $16 million in 2008, putting it back on the market last September at close to $14 million, and now slashing the price by another million to $12.995 million.

Wahlberg bought the home in 2001 for "only" $4.95 million and made some multi-million upgrades to the place, which now features a kitchen with commercial grade Viking-appliances and marble countertops, a media room with a fireplace, a two-bedroom, 2,500-square-foot guest house, and a resort-style pool area with cabanas and a waterfall.

If they're looking for interested buyers, they might want to focus on fitness buffs for starters. The estate includes a two-story gym complete with a regulation boxing ring and an outdoor basketball court that can also be used for tennis or racquetball. Though potential buyers should note that the deed to the house does not come with a guarantee you'll end up with Wahlberg's abs.
