Fabulously ‘Ugly’ Fashions

Guest star Lindsay Lohan joins America Ferrera on the set of "Ugly Betty." - James Devaney/WireImage.comIn the latest installment of "The Thread" host Sarah Bernard gets the lowdown on the unique style of hit TV show "Ugly Betty, which kicked off its exciting new season last night.

Not only is the series now being appropriately filmed in NYC -- the fashion capital of the world -- but Patricia Field, who styled the women on "Sex and the City," is officially their new costume designer! (FYI, she also dressed the "Ugly Betty" cast in the pilot episode.)

As Becki Newton (who plays Amanda) points out, "We're in New York City filming a show about New York City with Pat Field as our costume designer. It couldn't be better." The show's quirky mix of uptown designers and downtown vintage make for a colorful and interesting tableau of seriously unique style.
