    Elizabeth Smart Shares Wedding Gown Details

Just weeks after she announced her engagement, Elizabeth Smart exchanged vows with her beau of one year, Matthew Gilmour, on the picturesque North Shore of Hawaii's Oahu on Saturday. Surrounded by a small number of close friends and family members, the 24-year-old blushing bride gushed about Gilmour, 22, at the luau following their intimate ceremony. "Matthew, I love you so much," said Smart, People reports in its new issue. "I couldn't be happier. I am so grateful that everyone is here to be with and support us on this beautiful day. I love you so much."

    Although, Smart and Gilmour initially planned to get married on July 1, they decided to move up the date because they wanted total privacy for their big day. Ever since Smart was kidnapped in 2002 at the age of 14 (she was miraculously found nine months later), her life has been fascinating to the public. And that's why the couple pushed to plan the entire event in just a matter of days -- and that included perhaps the most important task: finding a wedding gown.

    Elizabeth Smart's Road to Happiness

    "I tried on just about every dress in Utah," Smart tells People. "I was going to New York with my friend for the weekend and we thought, 'Why don't we just see if we can get into Kleinfeld's and look around?'" And the change of location definitely inspired the bride. She found her dream dress -- an Alita Graham gown with lace sleeves and a sweetheart neckline -- at the famed boutique, which is home to TLC's reality show, "Say Yes to the Dress." Explains Smart, "It was traditional, but still was different. I felt like it was just perfect."

    Now that she's Mrs. Gilmour, Smart is looking forward to a very happy life with her husband, whom she met years ago in France while doing missionary work with the Mormon church. "They are clearly besotted with each other," the groom's mother, Kay Gilmour, tells People. "And it's a wonderful thing to see."

Shorter planning time equals extra pressure but but there are times when I use my time better when it is limited...lol...maybe others can say the same...but I've never had to plan a wedding...mine or anyone's...lol...
