    • Sail Away With Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp posed for Vanity Fair's July issue in San Juan, Puerto Rico. - François-Marie Banier/Vanity FairLike most women, I find Johnny Depp to be drop dead sexy. Obviously, I don't know him, but I imagine the mysterious actor to be an intelligent, sensitive, introspective man who also happens to be pretty easy on the eyes. Oh, and did I mention he owns an island in the Bahamas?! Although he's notoriously private, Depp invited Vanity Fair's Douglas Brinkley to travel with him to his 45-acre tropical paradise, Little Hall's Pond Cay.

Little Hall's Pond Cay is Depp's "decompression. It's my way of trying to return to normalcy," he shares. It has six different beaches, which are named after his partner, Vanessa Paradis, and their two children, Lily Rose and Jack, as well as his mentors, the late Gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson ("Gonzo Beach") and Marlon Brando. Depp even dubbed one cove "Heath's Place" after the late actor Heath Ledger. There are several small residences around the island -- all solar-powered -- and transportation consists of a fleet of green golf carts.

    • Worst Celebrity Fashion Faux Pas

Bjork poses in her infamous swan dress at the 2001 Oscars. - Kevin Mazur/WireImage.comOur mother always used to say that just because you have money doesn't mean you have taste, a fact of life that A-list celebrities prove time and time again. From the truly bizarre red-carpet dresses of too-wacky-for-their-own-good stars like M.I.A. and Bjork to consistently tacky wardrobe choices by Cher, Mariah Carey, and the Olsen twins, we take a look at some of the biggest-ever fashion blunders, past and present.

See the Worst Celebrity Fashion Faux Pas Through the Years

      Bjork: An Ugly Duckling
There's no excuse ... none ... zip ... ne ... nein ... mah nguh ... for wearing a swan dress. It's not eye-catching in a good way. It's not clever. It's not even ironic. And, frankly, it doesn't even look the least bit comfortable. So why did Bjork wear this atrocious dress to the 2001 Oscars? Maybe she had a singing telegram gig right after the ceremonies.

      M.I.A.: Mommy, Oh Dear
Her baby must have been begging to stay put until its mother got some fashion sense, when M.I.A. wore this

    • Cameron Diaz’s Serious Side

Cam keeps things casual in jeans by Citizens of Humanity and a LNA tee. - Cliff Watts/ParadeCameron Diaz is known for her goofball roles, but in "My Sister's Keeper" the 36-year-old actress shows off her serious side.

In the drama, opening June 26, Cameron plays Sara Fitzgerald, a mother of two. Her older daughter, Katie (Sofia Vassilieva), suffers from a rare form of cancer. When younger daughter Anna (Abigail Breslin) discovers she was conceived for the sole purpose of keeping her sister alive, family bonds are put to the test.

In extras from this week's upcoming issue of Parade, Cameron talks to Jeanne Wolf about how she channeled her maternal instincts for the role, as well as her own parental relationships.

On getting in touch with mothers who've faced the real-life tragedy:

"I met with some wonderful women who were unfortunately going through the struggle with their children and their families. I felt like we all have those days where we want to be apathetic. And you just want to lie in bed for a second or just go, 'Leave me alone.' But the women I talked to don't

    • Although Jessica Biel is probably most well known for her beautiful bod and being Justin Timberlake's girlfriend, there is much more to the 27-year-old actress than meets the eye. That's why Biel is so frustrated when she misses out on plum roles that go to Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman because directors find her look to be too modern.

"I just want an opportunity," she states in Allure's June issue. "If you don't like the audition, then don't hire me! But if you don't want to even see me -- that's hurtful." Find out what else Jessica has to say about her looks, marriage, and living life under a microscope.

Is being too good-looking really a problem for an actress?
"Yeah, it really is a problem. I have to be blunt."

On dating a superstar like Justin Timberlake:
"I mean, you love who you love! It's not like you meet somebody one day and say, 'OK, I'm not going to put up with his fame!' or 'Yes, I am going to put up with his celebrity.' You can't choose that. It just happens to

    • Whose Sequins Sparkled More?

Lauren Conrad rocks her Phillip Lim frock at Tavern on the Green in NYC. - Johns PkI/Splash NewsCamilla Belle donned the same dress at the opening of Lim's LA boutique. - Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty ImagesIf you follow fashion, you undoubtedly know who Phillip Lim is. For those of you who don't, he's a Chinese-American designer known for his effortlessly-chic and perfectly-tailored garments. He also happens to be known as the new go-to dressmaker for some of Hollywood's hottest young stars ... including Lauren Conrad and Camilla Belle.

A few weeks ago, the "Hills" hottie attended her show's fourth season finale at Tavern on the Green in NYC while wearing Lim's sensational sequined dress, along with bronze peep-toes and a short new 'do. However, the blonde bombshell wasn't the first celeb to sport the cocktail frock in public. Camilla Belle ("When A Stranger Calls") donned the dress this past June at Lim's LA boutique opening. Unlike LC, Camilla paired the piece with a brown belt and navy Miu Miu heels.

Camilla is cute, but I think her ensemble is a mess. Her mousy brown hair does nothing to show off the neckline. Her belt is way too dark and way too wide. Her chunky footwear is also

    • ‘American Idol’ Style

Carrie Underwood went from girl-next-door to red-carpet stunner after undergoing a post-"Idol" makeover. - Jeff Vespa/WireImage.comWeek after week, contestants on "American Idol" face scrutiny from judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi, not only for their song choices and performances, but also for their outfits.

It's no wonder: the right wardrobe choices have been instrumental in the success of past "Idols," like Carrie Underwood, who went from girl-next-door to red-carpet stunner after undergoing a post-"Idol" makeover. "She looks very Hollywood and glamorous, but not so chic that she turns off her fan base," says InStyle's Fashion Director Hal Rubenstein of Underwood. "For Carrie, it's an easy, approachable glamour that's soft, pretty, and not too edgy -- a transformation that came to be only after she truly 'made it.'"

For other contestants, like Katharine McPhee and Jordin Sparks, the evolution from reality TV star to stylish superstar started on the show. Indeed, as "Idol" hopefuls try on different musical styles over the course of the competition, they also experiment with

    • Who Looked Hotter in Vivienne Westwood?

In 2007, Elle Macpherson donned the Vivienne Westwood masterpiece in Madrid. - Lalo Yasky/WireImage.comI never would have guessed that supermodel Elle Macpherson and rocker Pink would both gravitate towards the same gown. Well, they did. Elle just happened to wear it first. "The Body" wowed the crowd in the strapless Vivienne Westwood masterpiece at the Marie Claire "Prix de la Mode" fete in Madrid ... in 2007. The "So What" singer, on the other hand, popped a pose in the fab frock on the red carpet at the 2008 American Music Awards just a little over a month ago. Elle undoubtedly gets points for donning the dress first, but I have to give the slight edge to Pink. Her sexy updo and wild personality just seem to fit the patterned piece a little bit better.

    • Drew Barrymore’s Hair Don’t

Drew Barrymore rocked some big hair on the Golden Globes red carpet. - Steve Granitz/WireImage.comI absolutely adore Drew Barrymore, but as soon as she stepped on to the Golden Globes red carpet tonight, everyone I was watching the pre-show with gasped in horror. Not at her gorgeous off-the-shoulder Dior gown by John Galliano, but at her hair. Did she style it with an egg beater?

Even though retro bouffant 'dos were rather popular thisevening, Drew's ratty tresses made her look a little like a crazy lady.

    • Nicole Richie’s Jewelry Line

Nicole Richie strolls around West Hollywood bedecked in jewelry from her new line: House of Harlow 1960. - Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage.comNicole Richie is the millionth celebrity to design her own line of jewelry. Not surprisingly, you can pick up the petite star's designs at Kitson, every celeb with a side project's favorite store.

I may sound a bit jaded, but how many celebrity jewelry lines do we need, especially considering the current state of our economy and, honestly, my credit limit? At least Nicole is a star with a great sense of style. She may sometimes have an occasional miss, but more often than not, Ms. Richie is on my best-dressed list.

Nicole teamed up with Mouawad, the same company that produced Heidi Klum's jewelry line. Although the collection is reasonably priced (pieces range from $12 to $125), it's a bit disappointing. Named House of Harlow 1960, after her ridiculously cute 10-month-old little girl, the line is supposedly inspired by the 1960s and '70s. To me it looks like she skipped the '60s and got stuck in 1975. I like Nicole's ode to ancient symbols like pyramids and chevrons, but I just can't
