Channing Tatum is at Amanda Seyfried's service. - Norman Jean Roy/Vanity FairThe 1930s had style as well as breadlines. For the August issue of Vanity Fair, photographers Michael Roberts, Norman Jean Roy, Mark Seliger, and Art Streiber teamed up with Josh Duhamel, Mila Kunis, Emile Hirsch, and other rising stars to reenact classic Depression-era films. Just for fun, VF.com added original stills from the movies.

Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried recreated "My Man Godfrey" at theOrpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. If you've never seen the film,a scavenger hunt—cum—party game in this 1936 classic somehow involvesCarole Lombard's madcap heiress wandering into the Depression-erastreets, picking up hobo William Powell, and turning him into herexquisitely attired butler. Not, one feels, something to be attemptedtoday. Here, as Powell, Tatum (in Armani) serves up serious tidbits asSeyfried's Lombard (in Galliano) finds it all highly amusing.

    • Brad Pitt’s Very Bad Advice

Brad Pitt offers up bad advice in Wired magazine's August issue. - Dan Winters/WiredIt's a jungle out there, and this month Wired delivers the new rules for highly evolved humans, providing readers with a scientific approach to dozens of 21st century predicaments, featuring some very bad advice from Brad Pitt such as: Don't online stalk before a first date: A 2007 study by Cornell and Michigan State found that 81 percent of participants who used online dating sites provided false information about how short, old or heavy they were. Judge your dates face-to-face.

More Bad Advice From Brad Pitt

The actor approached Wired about collaborating on an upcoming project in support of his new film with Quentin Tarantino, "Inglourious Basterds." He liked the Mystery issue we had done with J.J. Abrams in May and wanted to break away from the traditional celebrity magazine story. So he called our creative director, Scott Dadich, and after talking about concept of what the package might look and feel like; they both decided to it and started shaping a shot list and cover ideas. • ‘Runway’ Returns!

They’re baaaaack! Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn return to “Runway” on August 20. - LifetimeFor those of you unsatisified with "The Fashion Show's" shenanigans, get ready because TV's most stylish program is about to make its highly anticipated return to the airwaves. That's right; "Project Runway" is back!

Will it be better than ever? I certainly hope so. Like many of you, I've been waiting with bated breath for the sixth season, which was originally scheduled to air in January but got bumped back due to the legal drama between the show's producers (the Weinstein Co.) and the show's original network (Bravo, which is part of the NBC Universal family).

Anyway, all of that nonsense is behind us, and the show must go on, right? Well, get ready to set your DVRs because "Project Runway" and its stars -- hostess Heidi Klum and mentor Tim Gunn -- are scheduled to sashay across the screen on August 20, when the new season debuts on its new channel, Lifetime.

    • Channing Tatum Won the Lottery

Channing Tatum poses on the cover of August's GQ. - GQAnd here's how: At 18, he washed out of college in West Virginia and ended up in South Beach. He worked in construction and as a perfume spritzer at Dillard's. Then he walked into a modeling agency and got a job with Abercrombie. Went to Hollywood. Stayed handsome. Landed a bunch of roles -- two, oddly, with the name of "Duke." And the "G.I. Joe" star is now being called the next best thing. He's not complaining.

    • Don’t Be a Turtle

Another unfortunate side effect from the "Cougar Generation," besides the bad plastic surgery and sad women acting like drunken teens, is males thinking they too can pull it off. They take the cougar mantra, "Look hot while dressing young," and hear only the "dress young" part. This has led to a steady upswing in grown men wearing low-riding baggy jeans, backward baseball caps in nice restaurants, and sneakers with a color-scheme inspired by Rainbow Bright.

Men who do this are not the male equivalent of a cougar; they need their own term. They are Turtles. The "Entourage" character inspired the name, but it fits on many levels.

Five Things You Didn't Know About "Entourage"

Turtles are always older than you think
At the zoo, you'll guess a turtle is 50 years old. The zookeeper will tell you that it's 85. Similarly, a Turtle is always older than he appears, but not because he looks young and attractive. It's because his clothes cause people to not take him seriously. Women treat Turtles

    • Anna Wintour ‘Issues’ the Dirt

Anna Wintour strikes a pose at the 2008 Met Costume Gala. - Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage.comO! M! G!

I cannot believe I'm typing this. Did you know that there is a documentary film coming out in August that chronicles the work life of Vogue magazine's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour?! I didn't until I just watched the preview for "The September Issue."

All you fashionistas out there should know who Ms. Wintour is, but for those of you who don't, she's the cold-as-ice, fur-loving style guru, who is quite possibly the most influential person in all of fashion. In addition to being the driving force behind many designer's collections, the crisply bobbed 59-year-old is also known for her Chanel suits, monstrous sunglasses, A-list rolodex, liberal politics, $2 million-a-year salary, volatile outbursts, outrageous demands, and for keeping her work life and private life extremely private. Perhaps even secretive. In fact, many believe that Meryl Streep's character -- Miranda Priestly -- in "The Devil Wears Prada" is based on Wintour and her wicked ways.

      In any case, I'm extremely

    • What Was He Thinking?!

Pete Wentz strolls through LA in an outrageous ensemble. - Lins/X17online.comPete Wentz is a rock star. Therefore, he can get away with an outrageous outfit from time to time. Right? Well, I think the Fall Out Boy bassist and new dad just crossed the line.

While grabbing an iced coffee the other afternoon in LA, Pete was spotted sporting a scary ensemble consisting of a black knit cap, red sunglasses, skinny suspenders, boxy cuffed trousers, short black socks, and red sneakers. Don't get me wrong; the cap is cute, the shades are cool, and suspenders can look good over a t-shirt from time to time. But, those pants are downright putrid. Did he borrow them from his wife, Ashlee? Whatever the case may be, they must be burned!
