Demi Moore proves that she is 47 and fabulous in the December issue of W.

Demi Moore has no problem with being the "older woman" in her May-December romance with 31-year-old hubby Ashton Kutcher.
"I'm certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl," she says in the December issue of W. "I don't know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, 'There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?' "
The couple, who wed in 2005, first met six and a half years ago. "The most overwhelming part of meeting someone that you already felt you had such a deep and old connection with is that your feelings are greater than the time you've had to actually be with one another," she shares. "Now we've had the physical time together. The love he has for me makes me a better person by giving me the courage to take risks. I can fail and have someone who loves me just the same. I never knew it was quite possible."

According to Demi, she and Ashton make a conscious effort to have dinner with her three daughters -- Rumer, 21; Scout, 18; and Tallulah, 15 -- every night, and make frequent visits to their family ranch in Idaho.
But despite her happy home life, Demi's no longer the box office star she was in the 1980s and 90s. (Remember when she took home a $12 million paycheck for her role in "Striptease"?)

At 47, Demi is still as gorgeous as ever, but, like most actresses in Hollywood, she's discovered that getting older is not exactly helping her career.
"The frustrating part is that the type of roles I'd be interested in are not really coming to me," she confesses. "I hate to say it's a function of my age -- but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35."
That's why she's found the need to reinvent herself. Not only does she have two indie flicks, "Happy Tears" and "The Joneses," coming out soon, but she has 2.2 million followers on Twitter, which she credits with transforming her image.
"People are much more interested in what I have to say directly, and that really changed the whole dynamic I have with fans," she explains. "I can't impress enough the difference in how people are perceiving me. They're getting to see who I am."
Demi's Twitter handle is Mrskutcher, but don't look for the actress to take Ashton's last name anytime soon. "As a married woman, I am and will always be Mrs. Kutcher," she notes. "But I have my career as Demi Moore."
