  Brad Pitt offers up bad advice in Wired magazine's August issue. Dan Winters/Wired It's a jungle out there, and this month Wired delivers the new rules for highly evolved humans, providing readers with a scientific approach to dozens of 21st century predicaments, featuring some very bad advice from Brad Pitt such as: Don't online stalk before a first date: A 2007 study by Cornell and Michigan State found that 81 percent of participants who used online dating sites provided false information about how short, old or heavy they were.   The actor approached Wired about collaborating on an upcoming project in support of his new film with Quentin Tarantino, "Inglourious Basterds." He liked the Mystery issue we had done with J.J. Abrams in May and wanted to break away from the traditional celebrity magazine story. So he called our creative director, Scott Dadich, and after talking about concept of what the package might look and feel like; they both decided to it and started shaping a shot list and cover ideas. It was a fast turnaround, as five days later they did the shoot in LA with master portraitist and Wired contributing photographer Dan Winters. Brad came alone to the shoot at Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood and was a dream to work with. He was game to do any and all ideas Wired had for him and also had a lot of ideas his own, so it was a true collaboration, not to mention a lot of fun.
