Johnny Depp (Getty Images)One year after Johnny Depp confirmed the end of his romance with the mother of his two children, French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis, he's ready to talk about the end of that 14-year coupling.
"The last couple years have been a bit bumpy," the 50-year-old "Lone Ranger" star tells Rolling Stone. "At times, certainly unpleasant, but that's the nature of breakups, I guess, especially when there are kiddies involved."
He hinted that his and Paradis's careers were to blame, which, sadly, has become a fairly standard line in celebrity breakup stories.
"Relationships are very difficult, especially in the racket that I'm in because you're constantly away or they're away and so it's hard," Depp shares. "It wasn't easy on her. It wasn't easy on me. It wasn't easy on the kids."
But they rode it out until the end, he says with Depp confirming their split on June 19, 2012 ― though rumors of trouble first surfaced six months before that.
