Arrest Warrant Issued For Shia LaBeouf

An arrest warrant has been issued for Shia LaBeouf, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The star of "Transformers" and "Indiana Jones" was issued a ticket in Burbank, Calif., on February 18 for unlawful smoking.

LaBeouf, 21, was supposed to appear in court at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, however, neither the actor nor a lawyer showed up. As a result, a $1,000 bench warrant was issued for LaBeouf's arrest.

LaBeouf was allegedly smoking on the sidewalk outside of a gift shop in downtown Burbank when he was cited by police.

According to the City of Burbank's Web site, it is illegal to smoke "within 20 feet of all entrances, exits and open windows of buildings open to the public." In addition, smoking is prohibited on "all sidewalks and pedestrian areas in Downtown Burbank and all areas within 5 feet."

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for LaBeouf was not immediately available for comment.

    People do worse things than smoke in front of a building, get the %@!*# over it and arrest people who actually commit crimes. It's a little smoke he didn't shot anyone my goodness they need to pull their panties out of there asses and get over it.

    Ha Ha! Thank you California for catching one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted! I know that I will sleep better tonight! Take that Shia LeBeouf! You will never light a cigarette in that town again! But, due to over crowding, his jail sentence shouldn't be more than 20 or 30 minutes. Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan served less than 1 1/2 hours each for DUI!!!!!

    What I am wondering is why in the hell is he being cracked down on for smoking a common ciggarette, nothing illegal, while others are getting away with beating the crap out of people, drinking underage and getting high on whatever the newest thing is! It makes me sick to look at where priorities are being layed these days. find someone else to crack down on thats doing something actually wrong!

    OK - like really people - like now we have shades of Paris coming down on Shia because of this one crazy judge who is out to get young hollywood because he is a dried up old tu&rd. An arrest warrant for failing to appear in a smoking outdoors charge. Can Cali-forni&cation ever get over itself. The 6th circuit needs to get involved and hand down the death penalty on this one.
